The 2009 Honda Shadow Aero Motorcycle

It’s tough to find a bike as stylish as the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero, truth be told. While practically every other manufacturer has a middleweight motorcycle styled in the same general mold as bikes out of the late forties, the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero has got a decidedly cleaner look to it. The tank flows practically seamlessly into the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero seat; the teardrop-shaped air cleaner perfectly compliments the chromed V-twin 745cc engine. No doubt about it, there will come a time that you’ll spend an entire Saturday with the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero, chrome polish, and a box of cotton swabs. While the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is an air-cooled bike, one of the really nice touches is the fact that the radiator doesn’t hang out in front of the frame behind the front wheel, but tucks between the frame tubes to stay out of sight when the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is viewed in profile- just one of the many thoughtful design cues that combine to make the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero one of the nicest middleweight cruisers on the market.

The powerplant for the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is a 745cc liquid-cooled 52-degree V-twin engine with a single 34mm carburetor. A wide-ratio five-speed transmission and shaft final drive are virtually maintenance free, and help to provide the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero with great fuel economy. The 553 pound 2009 Honda Shadow Aero has a 3.7 gallon fuel tank with a .9 gallon reserve, giving plenty of range to really put the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero through its touring paces. With accessory windshield, saddlebags, and passenger backrest, the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero does make a competent, agile tourer, though for two-up long distance riding, it is perhaps a bit smaller than you might want, power-wise.

Braking on the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is handled by a single 296mm disc in on the front wheel clamped by a twin-piston caliper, while the rear receives a 180mm drum on the 160-series tire. The 64.5 inch wheelbase ensure that the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is a snap to maneuver through crowded parking lots, though not so tightly built that the only place to comfortably ride would be a race track. The 2009 Honda Shadow Aero has plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the ride. A 25.9 inch seat height ensure that most riders will have little, if any problem, with flat-footing the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero at stop lights, making it one of the most ridable, forgiving motorcycles available.

The 2009 Honda Shadow Aero is available in a range of two-tone and solid colors, including metallic Titanium/ White, Pearl Blue/ Metallic Silver, Black/ Snakeskin pattern, Candy dark red, and black. Pricing for the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero starts out at $7699, increasing as extras and specialty colors are added, but whatever the price, the rider will find that the 2009 Honda Shadow Aero provides not only a great value in motorcycling, but a great ride that they won’t want to trade in any time soon.
