This sopapilla cheesecake recipe is simple to put together and tastes divine. It’s great for every day or holiday parties. The recipe came from my mom, who is an excellent cook and will make this family Christmas gatherings. I serve this only on holidays, at Christmas parties or Easter usually.
Sopapilla Cheesecake Recipe
You will need the following:
– 2 8 oz. packages crescent rolls (Pillsbury preferred)
– 3 8 oz. packages cream cheese, 1/3 less fat, softened (Philadelphia preferred)
– 1 1/2 cups sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla
– 1/2 cup melted butter
For the topping you will need:
– 1/2 cup sugar
– 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Servings: 15
Estimated time: 45 minutes including prep
Preheat oven to 350. Unroll 1 package of crescent rolls and lay in the bottom of 13×9 greased pan. Whip together cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Spread this mixture over the crescent rolls. Top with the second package of crescent rolls. Pour melted butter over the top of the second layer, and add sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake for 35 minutes, and enjoy the best sopapilla cheesecake ever.
