SNEEZING – Ancient Superstitions and Rituals

More little bits of superstitions and rituals I came across when researching my book Aromatherapy & Herbalism-the complete home users guide.
Hope you enjoy!

SNEEZING;

* if you sneeze when you are talking you are telling a lie

* When you sneeze you are at risk of the devil taking your soul – hence “bless you”

* The first sneeze of a baby should be blessed as it means that the child is mentally balanced

* A fool can not sneeze

* If you feel like sneezing and cant it means that someone close by is in love with you

* If you sneeze while at a meal this means you are going to meet a new friend

* Never sneeze before you put on your shoes – very bad luck

* If you are going to sneeze do it twice – once or thrice is a bad omen

* Always sneeze to your left as this will bring luck

Sneeze on a Monday, sneeze for danger
Sneeze on a Tuesday, kiss a stranger
Sneeze on a Wednesday, sneeze for a letter
Sneeze on a Thursday, something better
Sneeze on a Friday, sneeze for sorrow
Sneeze on a Saturday, see your sweetheart tommorrow
Sneeze on a Sunday, the devil will have you the whole of next week
