Sennheiser CX 500 Headphones Review

Sennheiser CX 500-B headphones – The CX-500-B headphone from Sennheiser is overall a good product to have in mind when purchasing headphones. With great sound quality and noise isolation any one is sure to be pleased with this product. Sennheiser is internationally known for bringing high quality headphones with crisp and clear sound.

Sound and Noise Isolation-The Sennheiser CX 500-B has very great sound quality and Isolation. All you can hear is the nice and crisp sound. The sound is so good, you wouldn’t be able to distinguish the sound of these headphones from the sound of being at a live concert. The Sennheiser CX 500-B package includes ear buds in three different sizes (small, medium, and large) to add extra noise isolation, but to get that extra noise isolation you have to have the perfect fit in your ear canal. You will know you have the perfect fit when the headphones can stay in your ears without falling out, and when you play the music and you can hear no outside noise what so ever.

Design-The Sennheiser CX 500-B has a very sleek and contoured design. The look itself makes it seem as if it a high quality product overall. But when you have it in your hands it feels lighter than it looks. Almost feels as if the product is cheap. If I didn’t know how good of a brand this was I probably would have returned it to get my money back. The cord is long enough so that you can put your device in your pocket and the rest of the cord will hang down, and unlike other headphones the top part of the cord where it splits to go to your ears is not uneven, they are both equal lengths. On the cord there is also a switch where you can control the volume. This is very useful so you don’t have to keep taking your device out of your pocket to increase or decrease the volume every time a song changes.

Pros-The Sennheiser CX 500-B has great sound so you can hear your music clearly, it comes with a switch to control the volume, the part of the cord that reaches your ears is even unlike other headphones, and the ear buds isolate outside noise so you can’t hear anything but your music.

Cons-The Sennheiser feels cheap in your hand, the headphones can get moist when in your ears, any of the three ear buds it comes with may not fit in your ears properly, and the headphones earpiece broke in half exposing wire after two weeks of normal use.

The Sennheiser CX 500-B is overall a great product to buy for sound and noise isolation. But I don’t know if it would be able to withstand everyday life for a long time. So you could probably compromise and use these headphones only when you go to the gym or when you are going for a jog. Out of a rating of 5 I would have to rate The Sennheiser CX 500-B a 4.0.
