Seattle’s Best Organic Coffee

Is the smell of freshly brewed coffee a part of your morning? Or possibly if your family is like mine, a part of your evening?

We try and incorporate organic food into our diets as much as we can. Most of our every day food products and even our favorite brands can be bought organically; even our coffee.

Using organic products is one way that people are trying to look out for the health of their bodies as well as the health of our world. Without chemicals and hormones that are often found in “regular” foods, organic is a safer and healthier choice. Sometimes it is a more expensive choice; organic farms are typically smaller than other farms.

Organic products are becoming easier to find in local stores because of the influx of such people. If you don’t have a local Whole Foods Marketplace, try your local Wal-Mart. They carry a variety of organic goods.

My Wal-Mart Super Center carries two choices in organic coffees. One is made by Starbucks. Starbucks Serena is almost $8 and I have never tasted it. Though, it may be one to try if you are a fan of Starbucks coffees. According to the packing it contains a citrus blend in it.

The other is Seattle’s Best French Roast Organic. I like a fairly strong cup of coffee and this one is perfect for me. I flavor my coffee with hazelnut, but this blend has just the slightest tinge of chocolate. The package refers to the flavor as bittersweet and I find this to be pretty accurate. I bought mine already ground and it cost $7.57 at our local Wal-Mart. This coffee is Fair Trade Certified Organic by TransFair USA. More information about this non-profit can be found on the website.

Seattle’s Best Coffee’s website is easy to navigate and informational. Seattle’s Best also have cafes around the country. These can be located by using the website’s store locator. Visiting a café is the perfect way to try out different blends and find out which one is right for you.

The Seattle’s Best brand makes it easy to identify the organic coffees from the others with the green Organic label. They offer other organic coffees as well. You can buy them in the whole bean or the ground form.

Sharing a pot of coffee at night is a relaxing sort of bonding time with my husband, so having the perfect coffee is important to us.
