Review of Dove Intensive Firming Lotion 24 Hour Nutri Serum

Over the past five years, as middle age has advanced, I have tried several cremes and lotions that promise firmer, younger looking skin. They have run the gamut from Olay Reginarist, to Nivea Crème, to Avon’s brand called Anew. They all seemed to be ok, but none provided any reduction in the wrinkles I had been noticing around my eyes. I just happened to notice that Doves Intensive Firming Lotion, 24 hour Nutri-Serum was on sale at my local grocery store so bought it to try.

The label states that the two main ingredients in Dove Intensive Firming Lotion are seaweed-extract and collagen. It states that seaweed-extract is known for its firming properties and is used in spas around the country. And I am sure everyone has heard of collagen and knows that it also firms skin. But I wanted to check this out for myself, and see if it was true.

Several web sites, including www.h2oplus.com states that one main reason that seaweed extract is so good for the skin, is because it is loaded with trace elements. It is also known to help the skin remain hydrated while fighting any surface infection. Some also say that it serves to replenish cells that have been lost due to damage or aged.

Collagen on the other hand is a type of protein. It is fibrous in content, and connects and supports body tissues and cells. It can be found on the outside of cells and on the inside of a few types of body cells. It is mostly found in the skin, bones and tendons in the body. Some say that collagen is the glue that holds the body together. Collagen has great strength and our body starts losing the amount of collagen we have as we age. This would explain sagging and wrinkled skin. The less collagen one has the greater chance of showing signs of aging.

This brings us back to Dove Intensive Firming Lotion 24 hour Nutri Serum. The bottle states that within the first week of use, the skin will start to firm up. During the second week, firming will be noticeable and felt when touching the skin. Nothing is mentioned about decreased wrinkles. However, after using the product for two weeks, I can tell you that all of their claims are true. And in addition, there are fewer wrinkles around my eyes. I am also using it on my neck, to make sure I am ahead of the game on any possible future wrinklining that might occur here.

I am very pleased with this product, after using several others. The effects on my skin are greater than what I had with any of the other skin cremes that I have been using. I use it before bedtime and early in the morning underneath my makeup. On top of the positive effects, the product is very inexpensive. A 6.7 ounce bottle was on sale for $2.99. It usually sells for $4.99. It is very rich, so not much is needed.

If you are showing any signs of aging, or want to prevent it in advance, I would suggest trying Dove Intensive Firming Lotion, 24 Hour Nutri Serum. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
