Review: Got2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue

I have always been a fan of anything Got2b has to offer. I love their shampoo, I want to drink their conditioner, and I want to swim in a pool of their hair glossing products.

As you can see, I am rarely disappointed. I am though a bit weary of the Got2b line only because their products cost a hell of a lot more than a standard bottle of Suave. Once in awhile though, I treat myself.

This weekend while getting all dolled up for a Christmas party, I had everything all tacked out, up until I started to do my hair. I had it pulled back in a bun, and I wanted the bun to stay in without loosening p throughout the night. I also wanted to ease down any frizz and fly aways.

So, naturally I went for my hairspray which magically disappeared from its usual resting spot. I panicked, I got pissed, and I needed something to hold my hair.

In the bathroom I came across Bin Laden’s (I mean my brother), hair gel. I knew that this cheap bastard most likely had marks of how much gel was left, but I had to use it. I had no freaking choice.

When I turned the tube around I read Got2b… ahh a brand I adore. This should work like a charm. I have used Got2b gels before, but never this Glued Styling Spiking Glue stuff before. I figured it would work just as good. All I needed was something to push back my hair and keep it in place.

I opened the click up cap and gave it a squeeze.

Ugh! Nasty. The texture was like glue, and the color was as well. Not only that, but I swear this crap smelled like glue too.

No matter, I had no other options. I spread it in my hands and applied a small amount to my head. It worked like a charm really, and began drying as I was applying. The hold was nearly immediate.

I looked in the mirror, things looked good, and I was on my way.

What I liked about it was that I barely needed any to get good hold, and fast results. What sucks though is that you are not left much time to style. It dries fast, and you can’t do anything after it dries otherwise you will be left with the nasty gel dander’s that could ruin you for the day.

The hold stood in for the day and through the night. When I took my hair down though and looked in the mirror I could see the white flakes that the Got2b Glued left behind.

It didn’t matter though, the white flakes only came about when I began to run my hands through my hair, a washing and it would be all good.

Washing it out was easy, but at first it felt really gelatinous like, and took some scrubbing with shampoo to remove the odd feeling from my hair.

Overall though, Got2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue worked like a charm, and I didn’t need a lot to get the look I wanted. A small dab, and I was set in seconds.

This stuff would work great for guys/girls looking to spike shorter hair.

Recommended:

Yes. It’s great to keep fly aways down, and has a really strong hold. No for those looking to curl their hair with this. It is strictly for spiking and quick touch ups to hold down cow lick or frizzes.

Where To Buy:

I’ve seen it available in drug stores, and super markets. Really anywhere Got2b is sold, you will find it. Got2b Glued comes in a yellow stand up easy to squeeze tube.

-Do not brush your hair after applying Got2b Glued.
