Review: Deep Steep Foaming Hand Wash

In an effort to be more conscious of the planet, as well as health conscious, I’ve been trying various organic products. My latest encounter with the green world was with Deep Steep Foaming Hand Wash.

I was interested in trying them because they are 100% free of parabens, 100% chemical preservative free, 100% Vegan (safe for you and the planet), cruelty free, and contain no SLS.

The handwash comes in a variety of fragrances such as Lavender-Chamomile, Honeydew-Spearmint, Grapefruit-Bergamot, Rosemary-Mint, Tangerine-Melon, and also an unscented variety.

I tried the Honeydew-Spearmint, Tangerine-Melon, and Lavender-Chamomile fragrances.

All three of the fragrances I tried smell wonderful! They have just the right amount of scent – it’s not strong or overpowering. My husband liked the Honeydew-Spearmint because it has a bit more of a masculine scent. I like all of them but would say the Tangerine-Melon is my favorite if I had to choose just one.

As with most foaming soaps, you start with wet hands and then squeeze out some of the product into your hands. It amazes me every time that the liquid in the bottle comes out in a foamy lather on your hands. I think that is so cool!

It doesn’t take a lot of the hand wash to get the job done. The foam is rich and creamy, and like I said, the scent is wonderful. My hands feel really clean and my skin doesn’t get dry like with other soaps. My husband even commented on how natural and clean his hands feel after washing with the Deep Steep soap. There’s not that waxy sticky feeling left behind that other hand soaps tend to leave on the skin. I think the organic ingredients in these products allow the skin to stay soft and smooth feeling.

I’ve been keeping a bottle by the kitchen sink and it has lasted about 3 weeks so far and is only half way gone, so that is pretty good.

If you buy from their website, the hand soap will cost you $7.50 for an 8.5 oz bottle. I got mine through a local distributor and paid $4.00 per bottle. That’s still pretty expensive but I just love the way it smells and how clean my hands feel afterwards.
