Review: Best Men’s Bike Gloves

Looking to find the perfect pair of bike gloves for yourself or as a gift? With so many different types and styles it is hard to know where to start. Here is a review of the top gloves available.

#1-Giro Remedy: The Giro Remedey bike gloves are a great combination of breath-ability and protection. With microvent leather the palms, fingers, and back of the hand are all breathable and water resistant. The knuckle area is flexible for easy grip. The Remedy also comes with added protection in finger and knuckle areas and a crash pad in the palms. The price for the Remedy ranges from $40.00-45.00, but provide the best all-around performance in a bike glove.

#2-Fox Digit: Made of synthetic leather, the Fox Digit are a bit cheaper at $25.00-30.00, but the durability and breath-ability is top notch. The knuckle area is Airprene, this is form fitting and for ventilation. The backing is made of mesh for comfort. The padding is not quite that of the Giro Remedy, but for the price is an outstanding buy.

#3-Giro Bravo: The Bravo is another great glove from Giro. With a price tag around $25.00, made of synthetic leather, these gloves are water resistant. The palms have added padding for comfort and the gloves are abrasion resistant. A nice feature is the absorbent fabric in the thumb area, this helps when wiping sweat from your facial area. The Bravo is a fantastic all-around biking glove and the price is even better.

#4-Pearl Izumi Elite: The elite is a full finger glove made of leather and mesh. Great in wet weather with and the moisture wicking included in the glove keeps it clean and odor free. With a price of $30.00 this is great for the everyday rider. The biggest concern is the lack of padding, but overall is a very good buy.

With winter coming up here is a look at a fantastic glove made for the harsh conditions of winter. The Pearl Izumi Lobster, made from a duel layer of polyurethane for wind, cold and wetness on the outside and a waterproof insert for warmth and protection on the inside. The price is steep at about $70.00, but if your looking for an outstanding glove that can handle the worst winter days, the Lobster will not disappoint.
