Raging Waters Water Park in Wildwood, NJ

One of my favorite benefits of living at the Jersey Shore is the Water parks. That is next to the beautiful beaches of course. Raging Waters is the most popular Water Park in Wildwood, New Jersey with over 50 water slides, an interactive water play area, and 5,000 square feet of a pirate adventure. It is located on the boardwalk at Morey’s Pier. Here is some more information on Raging Waters:

First, you can contact Raging Waters by writing to Raging Waters Water Park, Morey’s Pier, 3501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260 or by calling (609) 522-3900.

Second, the Water Park’s season begins May 25th and ends September 3rd. They are open every day of the week from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm. There are several options when considering buying a pass to the park. Here they are:

A 3-Hour Session (over 48″ tall) costs $26.00. If you are under 48″ you pay only $19.
The Morning Special (swim till 12:30 PM) costs $20.00 for over 48″ and $15 for less than 48″.
A Family of 4 cost $68 for an afternoon (after 3pm).
Singles for the afternoon cost $20.00 for over 48″ tall and $15 for under 48″.
The After 5 o’clock Special costs $15.00.
Senior Citizens age 65 & older are free at any time.

Third, Morey’s Piers (which contains both the Water Park and the rides) is a family owned. They began serving Wildwood in 1969. Here is a list of fun activities provided at Raging Waters by the Morey family: 1100′ foot long Endless River (I could float here all day), Shipwreck Shoals children’s play area, Camp KidTastrophe interactive play area, Shotgun Falls drop slides, Rope Swing, Interactive Activity Pool with Cargo Net and Lily Pad Walk, Rocket Raft tube slides (single tubes only), Speed Slides (head first mat slide, single riders only), Fountain Pool – heated family relaxation pool, Sky Ponds Journey – tube slide complex with 4 elevated splash pools (single & double tubes), Serpentine body slides, and the Lil’ Dipper Pool (kids play area).

Fourth, if you’re looking for some extra fun, Morey’s Pier has added Sunny C. Gull’s Treasure Hunt. This is new for 2007. Sunny C. Gull is Morey’s mascot. He goes on a treasure hunt all around Raging Waters. You’ll want to solve the riddles to get the next clues. I am told if you don’t solve all of the clues, you will have to “walk the plank”. If you want to be included make sure you ask at the desk when you buy your tickets.

So what happens if you forget to bring the essentials? Morey’s has you covered. They offer suntan lotion, swim diapers, underwater cameras, etc. for sale. Basically anything you need to spend a day at the Water Park.

Want to be sure that the water slides are safe and up to code? Have no fear; Morey’s safety program has received international recognition for excellence. The international aquatic safety consulting firm, Ellis and Associates has awarded the prestigious “Platinum International Aquatic Safety Award” to Morey’s Piers Beachfront Water parks every year since 1997. This award is the highest any water park can receive. As a matter of fact, last year only 8% of the world’s water parks received this award. So you can rest assured that you and your family are in good hands.

If you are still concerned about your safety you should know that Morey’s requires each lifeguard to go through 40 hours of training before they are even allowed to start working. Once they have begun their job, they still need to complete 1 hour of training each week to keep up with their skills. The Water Park also has a First Aid Station that is equipped to handle any minor emergencies.

What will you do if you get hungry? Raging Waters also has a Beach Grille. The Beach Grille serves up cheese steaks, burgers, fries, and hot dogs for lunch and dinner. Don’t forget the snacks and beverages if you just have the munchies. You can choose to eat under the umbrellas or out on the patio. The patio provides a great view of the Atlantic Ocean.

So Raging Waters has it all from family fun rides, essential supplies for sale, first aid stations, to a Beach Grille. If you plan on visiting Wildwood this summer, Raging Waters is the place to be!
