Product Review: Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up

If you dye your hair, chances are that you probably already know what an annoyance it can be when the roots start to grow in – especially if your hair is much darker or lighter than the color of your hair dye. Naturally, my hair is light brown, but I dye it medium champagne blonde. When my roots begin to grow in, the difference in hair colors is pretty significant. I had heard about Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up from a friend and I thought that it might work for me.

Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up is Easy to Use

The thing that I love the most about Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up is the fact that it is very easy to use. It come sin a pen-like applicator. All that you need to do is apply the product, whether you apply it directly to the roots or to the comb that is supplied for you. Then, you need to comb it through the section that you want to touch up. I have found that while it is very easy to apply the product to wet hair, it is actually easier to apply it to dry hair because you are able to better see where your hair roots need it the most and if it has been blended in well enough. Since it is so easy to use, I have found that Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up is a great alternative to dying your hair when your roots have only began to grow out the slightest amount.

There is No Need to Use A Lot of Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up

One of the best things about this Root Touch Up product is the fact that you really do not need to use a whole lot of it. I found that I personally only needed to use a tiny amount of Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up in order to get the results that I was looking for. Of course, this is probably going to depend mainly on how far your roots have grown out. I would only recommend you to use this product if your root growth is only minimal, because otherwise you will have a harder time touching it up.

Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up Really is Waterproof

I did not believe it when I was told that Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up was also waterproof, because it sounded just too good to be true, but the claims are correct! Even after a long day of swimming or one day when I had to sit through a baseball game during a rain storm, this Root Touch Up product remained in my hair the entire time.

There are a Variety of Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up Colors

The good news is that you probably will be able to find a Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up color which is suitable for you. The colors that it is offered in include pale ash blonde, strawberry blonde, golden (honey) blonde, medium ash brown, medium golden brown, medium reddish brown, dark brown, copper, auburn, and rich black. While there is not every color offered, chances are that you will be able to find something that is very close to your dye shade. For example, as I mentioned before, my hair dye color is medium champagne blonde. I have found two Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up colors which are very close to this shade – strawberry blonde and golden (honey) blonde. You may need to experiment a little bit to find out which color is the closest to your own hair dye shade, but you will be likely to find that there probably is one which is very close.

Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up is a Bit Costly

The only thing that I have negative to say about the Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up is the fact that it is a bit costly. Each applicator pen color can be purchased for about $13. This is the equivalent to, or in some cases even more than, the cost of hair dye. At the same time, however, you can probably make your Quicktint Instant Hair Root Touch Up applicator last for a pretty long time – maybe for even months at a time, depending on how much you choose to use it. While it slightly costly, I have found that this Hair Root Touch Up product is definitely worth the price.
