Product Review: Biosilk Silk Therapy

Is humidity your hair’s worst enemy? Does the forecast of rain keep you indoors or searching for your favorite baseball cap? If this sounds like you, let me introduce you to a product you will love. Biosilk Silk Therapy. This is a thin liquid you pour into your hands and then smooth over your hair. Biosilk Silk Therapy can be used on wet or dry hair. It is mainly a finishing product used to keep your hair smooth and frizz free.

I started using this product about a year ago and it has remained a constant in my hair routine. I arrived at my brother’s house for a family party on a rainy, humid day cursing my out of control locks. I had spent over an hour conditioning and straightening before I left the house. After the hour long trip, my hair looked nothing like it had when I left my house. I asked my niece, who is a hair product junkie what she had that I could use to try and make myself look presentable again. She handed me her little bottle of Biosilk Silk Therapy and the rest is history.

I was amazed at the way my hair responded to just a few drops. That is a huge positive of this product. You only need a few drops to see results. I pinned up my hair and applied just a little bit to each group of layers and voila! The frizz was gone and the shine was back.

Frizz prone hair tends to be dry and therefore lacks shine. Biosilk Silk Therapy puts the shine back in. It is very frustrating to spend large amounts of time styling your hair just right only to have the final result look unhealthy and lifeless. Not all of us were blessed with beautiful wash and go hair. Choosing the right product for your hair’s needs can be exasperating. The trial and error process of finding just the right product is expensive and time consuming. There are gels, cremes, pomades, etc. Products you use on wet hair. Products you use on dry hair. Products you use in the shower. Streamlining your beauty routine to one or two products that you can rely on despite the weather is economical and time saving.

My only complaint about Biosilk Silk Therapy is the price. The cost of 2.26 fluid ounces is sixteen dollars and change. I initially balked at the price, but reminded myself of the old adage, “You get what you pay for”. It truly is worth it. The compensation for the high price is the fact that you only need a small amount to reap the benefits. Three or four drops rubbed together in the palm of my hands does the trick. I purchased the bottle I am currently using about three months ago. Based on daily use, I should still be using it a month from now. Dividing sixteen dollars by four months comes out to four dollars a month. Four dollars is surely worth the benefits.

Summer is almost upon us. Hot and humid weather used to send me running for a hat or a ponytail holder. Biosilk Silk Therapy put an end to that. Give it a try. I know you won’t be disappointed!
