Ninja New York: A Unique Dining Experience

Just about everyone enjoys dining out from time to time, and many people like the idea of being entertained while they consume their meal. Unlike no other restaurant you may have ever been to, this restaurant is quite unique and very entertaining, as well as somewhat scary and unpredictable. Ninja New York, 25 Hudson St., is different from any other restaurant you have been to because not only are you served by specially trained ninjas, but you never know when a ninja is going to “attack” you while you’re inside the establishment. Ninjas can arrive at anytime, whipping their swords around and simulating “attacks.” Ninja waiters must attend a special “ninja” school for one month prior to working at Ninja New York in to be considered an authentic ninja. The inside of the restaurant has been set up to depict a real ninja’s castle, and the restaurant’s goal is to impress their customers.

Many have said that the food at Ninja New York is divine, and you have your choice of choosing from the special course menu, the a la carte menu, and the course menu. The prices are $38 for Yukimura and $48 for Kunoichi. Yukimura consists of three courses, the first a Caesar Salad, the second a spicy tuna roll and the third teriyaki chicken with teriyaki sauce. Kunoichi consists of five courses, Shrimp Salad, Sushi Rolls, Roast Salmon, Volcano (a tender braised brisket) and your choice of dessert. The menu offers various other delicious choices as well. The restaurant’s signature dish is Katana, which is U.S. Prime steak with Teriyaki sauce, fried Risotto and Alaskan King Crab served with tomato mango sauce and topped with White sauce and melted cheese.

Open seven days a week, Ninja New York’s hours are Monday through Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the last guests being seated at 11:00 pm, and Sundays and holidays 5:45 p.m. – 10 p.m. Dress is casual, and if you prefer to make reservations, you can go to opentable.com, although you don’t have to make reservations and can just show up whenever it’s convenient. So if you’re ever in New York and you’re hungry and in the mood for a thrill, checking out what Ninja New York has to offer is probably a very good decision, as you’re sure to be very impressed.
