NASCAR Schedule: Get the Rest of the 2008 NASCAR Schedule Here

Yep, May 25th, 2008. Best day of the NASCAR schedule by far. What a day for racing! Who would have known that Earnhardt Jr. would look strong throughout only to get rubbed the wrong way all on his own. Then Tony Stewart looking like he’s got an easy win with 3 laps to go and blow out a tire. Strange night of events for sure, but it just paved the way for Kasey Kahne to win for the second straight week.

If this is what the rest of the year is going to be like, NASCAR may have a new fan after all. Thinking others who aren’t big on the sport might have the same thoughts I thought it would be a good idea to throw out the rest of the regular season NASCAR schedule. You know before September when the NASCAR SPRINT CUP CHASE FOR THE CUP begins. Heck, you might just learn something about the tracks themselves.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Dover (Jun. 1st, 2:00 PM ET)

Next up on the NASCAR schedule is the “Monster Mile.” Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the track, the activities available for this race will be amazing. Newly added Monster features might just give you a cross between Mardi Gras and a hoe down. Okay, a little stereotyping there, but they are building a 46 foot Monster Monument with all the winners and legends on there as a tribute. Ought to be something worth seeing when it’s done.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Pocono (Jun. 8th, 2:00 PM ET)

One of the most competitive tracks on the NASCAR schedule, Pocono Raceway once had to be saved from going bankrupt. It was a phone call and meeting with the late Bill France Sr. that kept the Mattioli family from selling. Fast forward to the future and if you love constant lead changes then this is a NASCAR race you have to see.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Michigan (Jun. 15th, 2:00 PM ET)

Here’s something quite interesting. As many home games the Michigan Wolverines host each year with their huge stadium, Michigan International Speedway is still the #1 single day paid admission event in the state. Not only that but it has been for the last seventeen years. Improved seating, a new scoreboard, and other renovations may make this a quick trip for you to take on the NASCAR schedule.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Sonoma (Jun. 22, 5:00 PM ET)

If you like Formula One racing because of the tracks, you’ll love seeing this track on the NASCAR schedule. It better be good since it cost $70 million to build, but who’s counting when it’s owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc. To no one’s surprise the 2007 winner was a former Open Wheel driver. It was Juan Pablo Montoya and with slower speeds and more twists and turns he’ll most likely be there again in 2008.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at New Hampshire (Jun. 29, 2:00 PM ET)

One of the newer tracks on the NASCAR schedule, New Hampshire Motor Speedway has yet to disappoint. The track itself has had its ups and downs through time, most notably the deaths of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr.. Last year the track was purchased for $340 million by Speedway Motorsports, Inc.. While they kept the 2008 NASCAR schedule intact, no one knows what the outcome will be for NHIS at the end of the NASCAR season.
