Meditation for Tuning Up Chakras: Re-Energize Yourself

Chakra is a Sanskrit term that means “wheel or circle.” Chakras are positions in the body that link mind and body. They are said to give the body spiritual energy to help cope with the daily stresses of life. When the chakras are aligned and centered, they give the body and mind increased energy and focus. Proper alignment of chakras help the mind and body act as one. This helps alleviate stress and help people become more peaceful and centered. The practice of meditation and aligning of the chakras were first cultivated in India. It is know a common practice around the world. One way to tune up the chakras is to use the Osho technique of active meditation. This act of meditation was championed by the Indian mystic and philosopher Osho. This act of meditation is a way to meditate for the modern world. The first thing you do is very deep, fast breathing. His meditation theory utilizes strenuous action followed by complete silence. This awakens the body and gets your energy flowing. The second thing you do is to act out your frustrations playfully. This helps your body to release stress. The third thing to do is to jump up and shout “hoot”. This releases all the energy from the previous activities. The fourth thing you do is to stop and freeze until your breathing is controlled. This helps center yourself so that you body is lively and at peace. The fifth thing you do is to rejoice. This method of meditating for tuning up chakras is very popular.

The Kine-Mantra Meditation technique is another way to align your chakras. It was developed by German journalist Eckard Block. The technique is to align your self in a comfortable straight back position such as Indian-style sitting, sitting in a chair, or in a praying position. You will then for about twenty minutes you repeat a personal mantra to repeat in your head and your mind. This method imprints your mantra into your subconscious mind and gives you the strength to do it. This technique is the most simple out of the bunch and is very popular as well. It is a way to help meditate to tune up your chakras.

The next method is yoga. Yoga is a group of spiritual practices that originated in India. It is a series of moves that focuses on breathing and bringing the body into a peaceful place. Common yoga moves are hugging your knee (in which you lay flat on the floor and pull your knee up to your chest, holding it with you hands) and the spinal rock (in which you sit Indian-style on the floor and you pull you legs up slightly). Yoga is a popular way to help focus your body and relieve stress.

These practices are very helpful as far as meditation for tuning up chakras. You can also use meditation music to help you in your breathing techniques. As with any meditation, you will need to focus on your breathing and centering of your self. You must not rush anything. You must give your body the time to do what it needs to do. Let your body naturally to its thing in its own time. You can also do these exercises in meditation with a partner which will bring more agreement into your movements.
