My review case arrived wrapped in Vaja traditional rainbow packaging, as if the box itself knew that a beautiful gem was inside. Before I could even put my hands on I was overwhelmed with the room filling scent of true high-end leather. My nose was in heaven! The last time I smelled anything remotely close to this was driving in my mothers Jaguar as a child.

Shortly after I recovered from the mystifying leather aroma I hand my hands on it. The Libretto is made with Vajas exclusive leather, and well padded without adding any significant bulk or weight. Inside from cover to the back lining is embossed with Vaja, with a buttery soft texture. There are two viewable positions, standard landscape for viewing video, and the must have landscape typing position. I especially enjoyed the typing position, as the leather broke in I experienced pleasant soft feedback, and had piece of mind that there would be no lid slippage as it was well secured with the Vaja engraved magnetic latch located on the back. The cover and back is made of pebbled soft leather, Libretto is one piece of leather, no chopped leather panels. As expected built into the cover is the on and sleep function, with magnets strong enough to keep the case closed when turned upside down. This simple function is important to me; it shows that there is great attention to detail. A simple chrome Vaja logo tops off Librettos cover.

Full Delicious Leather Protection

Libretto case users will have access to the iPads volume rocker, mute switch, headphone jack, speaker, microphone and 30-pin dock connector. The top right corner is left open allowing for unobstructed camera function. I have heard other reviewers make negative comments about this naked corner. Let me set the record strait, the corner is safe! There is so much soft leather goodness, that should you actually drop your iPad the probability is that it will land on any one of the other three covered corners, the weight would assist in keeping the impact away from the exposed corner.
