‘Lindsay Lohan Dead’ Reports Discredited

“Lindsay Lohan dead” rumors have struck the Net today. But, these “Lindsay Lohan dead” reports declare that Lohan is dead because of a fake Twitter. One of the few things more prevalent than a Lohan rumor is one involving Kim Kardashian. According to the report, Kardashian asked on her Twitter if her fellow tabloid icon had died. But, since it was a fake Twitter account, the “Lindsay Lohan dead” rumors were quickly dismissed.

The fake Kardashian Twittered “Omg! Is Lindsay Lohan dead? I keep hearing these rumors from my friends n stuff! Is it true?” However, Kardashian’s real Twitter account has no question of the kind on it. Still, considering how quickly celebrity death rumors spread on the Internet, it wouldn’t have been a shock if friends spread those rumors.

These “Lindsay Lohan dead” reports came six days before she has to head to jail, for no more than 90 days. Therefore, a rumor like this is easier to spread, as there are some who would easily believe this could happen. Naturally, a drug overdose was blamed for her fake death.

The Internet death mill is a very busy one, with the same old celebrities and young stars accused of dying every few days. The likes of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber have been killed by the Net more often than Lohan, however. Yet, the rumors may have been the easiest to believe for some.

Given her troubled condition and difficult times ahead, it calls into question whether her jail time will finally wake her up, or drive her further downhill. Given her tears when she was sentenced, those behind the “Lindsay Lohan dead” reports likely thought their rumor would sound plausible. At this point, if she did die of an overdose before going to jail, many might not have been surprised.

By using Kim Kardashian’s name, it certainly helped the story spread. However, they messed up by saying she posted this on Twitter, since anyone can go on Kardashian’s real Twitter account to double check. Since she is Kim Kardashian, and has four million followers, they would know if she really posted a Tweet like that.

For now, any “Lindsay Lohan dead” reports are premature, and those who have her on a “celebrity death pool” will not win anything today. She is still alive, still preparing to go to jail, and is even in a Twitter war against Joan Rivers over recent jokes.

Rivers once said that Lohan would be dead in 10 years if something wasn’t done – although some clearly think it wouldn’t take that long.
