Legend of Zelda Walkthrough Chapter 7

From this point forward, the labyrinth entrances are not out in the open anymore. They have secret hiding places that you will need to uncover, and Level Seven may have the best hiding place of all.

Head to the brown forest, and first visit the fairy spring in the northeast end. Now head south, west and north and you’ll find a spring with no fairy. Blow the Whistle, and the pond will dry up, revealing the entrance to Level Seven.

The biggest challenge of Level Seven is that it’s a much more complex maze than any previous ones. The good news is that the monsters are relatively easy – most of them are Goriyas. The Enemy Bait works very well against them, as they’ll all gather around it for you to take them out easily.

First go north from the entrance and bomb the west wall. Head south from the next room, get the key among the Ropes, then head straight north. Behind the locked door where the Dodongos are, you can increase your bombs to sixteen with another hundred Rupees.

Go two screens east of the Dodongos, defeating the Goriyas to open the shutters, and get the compass from the Stalfos. Head back one room west and fight your way north until you reach Digdogger. This one splits into three small pieces when you blow the Whistle and doesn’t actually leave anything behind. Bomb the east wall in Diggogger’s room and beat the Moldorms you’ll find for a key.

Head west from Digdogger and use the key on the door to the north. Here you’ll be blocked by a Goriya who does nothing but say “grumble grumble.” You can’t get past him unless you give him your Enemy Bait. You’ll lose the bait, but you can beat the monsters easily without it.

The next room has the map. If you don’t have a key for the door, bomb the north wall to find some Rupees, then bomb the east wall. Take the east door first to find a key, then go back and take the south door.

Bomb the east wall in the next room and you’ll find the passage to the Red Candle. Of all the Underworld items you can find, the Red Candle may be the least valuable of all. Its only value is that you can use it multiple times on the same screen.

You are hearing the boss monster’s roar in this room, but you can’t get to him yet. Bomb the east wall just like you did to get in this room, then use your key on the east door. You’ll have to beat Digdogger to move forward, but not the Dodongos – just bomb the east wall. Finally, you’ll come to the room with the Wall Masters. Defeat them all and push the center block in the far right to open the secret passage.

Bomb the east wall on the other side of the passage to reach the boss. After everything you went through to get here, all you have to face is an Aquamentus? Two hits from your Magic Sword will finish him and clear your way to the Triforce.
