The cabinets are only warrantied for residential use and no commercial use.

If there is something wrong with the cabinet or cabinets and you want the warranty to step in then please be aware that it does not cover the cost of having a contractor come in and remove the cabinets or reinstall the new ones. This can be a sizable cost the homeowner will face if the product is defective.

The warranty also does not cover any damage done to the cabinets after installation. It will not cover normal use wear, dings, dents, scratches, or any other problems that might occur from every day use.

There is one major thing that I like and appreciate about American Woodmark cabinets and that is that they are environmentally friendly. American Woodmark has received certification by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) Environmental Stewardship Program on all their cabinet products which is quite impressive.

American Woodmark works closely with all their suppliers to always maintain forestry renewal and sustainable forestry. All the wood doors, drawer fronts and cabinet front frames are made from only American grown hardwoods. All the particle board and plywood are purchased from suppliers for use in Woodmark cabinets meet the Composite Panel Association requirements for Environmentally Preferable Products including formaldehyde emissions that comply with ANSI Standards. Reviews for the American Woodmark cabinets are mixed. Many people adore them and others feel they are shoddy. I personally find them to be a nice, fairly durable cabinet for the price. They are very reasonable to purchase and they look fantastic when installed. They would probably not stand up to extremely rough handling but the majority of people treat their cabinets gently. Perhaps if you were placing them in an apartment complex or a rental house they would not stand up well but for the average home owner who values their house these cabinets work wonderfully.
