Jeet Kune Do – Founded by Bruce Lee

Jeet Kune Do is the method of fighting founded by the late Bruce Lee. Jeet Kune Do is a combination of wing chun kung fu, boxing and fencing. As well Jeet Kune Do was called my other names before it was called Jeet Kune Do, but we will discuss that in the next section.

Where did the art of Jeet Kune Do come from? Alright now lets talk about where the art of Jeet Kune do came from. It all started out when Bruce Lee trained in the art of Wing Chun kung fu before he came to America. When he came to America he had modified it. As well he combined it with other arts and he changed the name of his art to Jun Fan gung fu. After evolving his martial art even further and ultimately combining wing chun, boxing, fencing, and some grappling basics he in the end called it Jeet Kune Do.

How many different forms of Jeet Kune Do are there? As far as different methods of Jeet Kune Do there are a few different methods of Jeet Kune Do. There is Jeet Kune Do concepts, Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, there is what is called original Jeet Kune Do, and there is a method of Jeet Kune Do that is called Functional Jeet Kune Do.

What types of techniques are there in the art of Jeet Kune Do? There are different types of techniques in Jeet Kune Do. As well the types of techniques will also depend on what method of Jeet Kune Do you train in. In this article we will refer to the techniques of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. So as far as Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do goes there are punching techniques, there are kicking techniques, there are trapping techniques, there are knee and elbow strikes, and as well there are grappling techniques.

What are Punching techniques does Jeet Kune Do use? Well the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do there are essentially few techniques as far as punching goes. But the first and core technique of Jeet Kune Do is The Straight Lead. Then there is the Jab, Cross, Hook, Shovel Hook, Over Hand Hook, Uppercut, Back Fist and Eye Jab with a variation.

What are the kicking techniques that are used in the art of Jeet Kune Do? Now there are fewer kicking techniques than punches in the art of Jeet Kune Do. But the kicks that are used are the side kick, the stop kick, front kick, roundhouse kick, and the back kick.

What close range techniques are incorporated into Jeet Kune Do? There are a few close range tactics that Jeet Kune Do uses. One of those tactics is called Trapping. Trapping is a tactic in which you immobilize the leg or arm so that you can continue or initiate an attack. The two main trapping techniques that are used are Pak Sao, and Lop Sao. Other close range tactics that Jeet Kune Do uses are Elbows, Knees, and Headbutts. These close range tactics are some of the most powerful and damaging tactics in your fighting arsenal.

Does Jeet Kune Do use grappling techniques? Yes Jeet Kune Do does use grappling techniques.Take downs, chokes, arm locks, and leg locks are used.

What are the 5 Ways of attack? The 5 ways of attack are the 5 different ways that you can attack a person in a fight. The first of the five ways of attack is what is called Single Attack. It is an attack in which you attack with a single solitary strike of some kind. The second way of attack is called Immobilization Attack. Immobilization Attack is when you immobilize a part of the body so that you can attack your opponent. The third way of attack is called Attack by Combination. Attack by Combination is an attack in which you strike with multiple strikes in combination. The fourth way of attack is called Progressive Indirect Attack. Progressive Indirect Attack is an attack in which you feint and attack immediately followed up by an actual attack without withdrawing the body in any way. The fifth and final way of attack is known as Attack by Drawing. Attack by Drawing is an attack in which you purposely leave an opening in the hopes that the opponent will see it and go for it.
