Iselin Knights of Columbus in Iselin, New Jersey: Perfect for Family Celebrations

My family and I recently had the pleasure of attending my brother and sister in law’s anniversary party which was held at the Iselin Knights of Columbus. The Iselin Knights of Columbus is located at 116 Grand Street in Iselin, New Jersey. Very easy to access from the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike, Routes one and twenty seven, the Iselin Knights of Columbus is a perfect hall to hold Christening or Confirmation celebrations, Sweet Sixteen parties, children’s birthday parties and surprise anniversary parties.

The Iselin Knights of Columbus has several rooms in which to hold your celebration, depending upon the number of guests you are expecting. There is a large room just inside the entrance of the Knights of Columbus which can easily hold over one hundred people. The night we were at the facility, there was a sweet sixteen party being held in the large room. There were round tables set up for eating, long buffet tables to the left of the room and a large dance floor set back from the tables for the guests to party the night away.

Since my brother’s anniversary party was a small and intimate affair with only forty people in attendance, we were set up in the smaller room down the hall. Arriving early to help set up, I was pleased to see that the room was extremely clean, cozy and there was ample room for the guests expected for the surprise anniversary party. With five tables that had eight chairs at each, there was plenty of space to move around the room. Two long buffet tables were placed along the left side of the room which provided plenty of space for the abundance of food that we all contributed.

The Knights of Columbus in Iselin, New Jersey provides the room and tables. The hosts of the party are required to provide the food and decorations. The package that the party organizers purchased was the use of the room, plus four hours of beer, wine and soda. The well stocked bar was situated next to the room where the anniversary party was held. Guests of my brother’s anniversary party simply made their way a few steps to the bar and returned to the room with either single cups or pitchers of soda, tap beer or wine. The bartender was a lovely young girl who was very pleasant and attentive to our anniversary party guests.

The entire staff of the Knights of Columbus in Iselin, New Jersey was helpful, attentive and really got into the spirit of the party. Although we were required to provide all the food and desserts for the party, we had full use of the kitchen and access to their refrigerators, freezer, sinks and kitchen supplies. We needed extra Aluminum foil and some other essentials and the staff of the Knights of Columbus couldn’t have been more helpful in helping us locating the supplies we needed and assuring us that is fine to use whatever we needed. One staff member of the Knights of Columbus in Iselin, New Jersey even helped us pull off the surprise by calling a guest at the anniversary party on his cell phone to alert us when my brother and his wife arrived. We were then able to quickly make sure that everyone was in position to yell “Surprise,” when they entered the room.

We weren’t rushed out of the room when the eleven o’ clock hour came. We were able to pack up our leftovers and say our goodbyes at our leisure. All in all, it was a wonderful night and the Iselin Knights of Columbus was a wonderful place to hold the anniversary celebration. If you live in Central New Jersey and are planning a special celebration, I highly recommend the Iselin Knights of Columbus.
