How to Use Apple Cider Vinegar for Wart Removal

According to FamilyDoctor.org, warts, which are a caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family, can grow on all parts of your body. Not only are warts unsightly and embarrassing, they can be painful and are also quite contagious. Therefore, it’s advisable to remove warts before they spread.

Conventional medical treatment for wart removal often includes the use of chemicals including salicylic acid, cantharidin, and liquid nitrogen. Surgical wart removal is also a possibility. In addition to being painful and relatively expensive, some conventional methods of wart removal may leave scars. Additionally, some people find conventional medical treatment for wart removal to be unsuccessful.

If you’ve attempted conventional medical treatment for wart removal without success, or if you just desire a more natural and inexpensive method for wart removal, try apple cider vinegar!

WHAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE WARTS WITH APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

To remove warts with apple cider vinegar, you will need three things:

  1. Apple cider vinegar (any brand)
  2. Cotton (either cotton balls or cotton cosmetic pads work well)
  3. Band-aids

METHOD FOR REMOVING WARTS USING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

  1. Using soap and water, clean the wart and the area surrounding the wart. Gently dry with a towel.
  2. Soak the cotton in apple cider vinegar.
  3. Place the cotton that is soaked with apple cider vinegar over the wart and cover with a band-aid.
  4. Leave the cotton soaked with apple cider vinegar on the wart over night.
  5. In the morning, follow steps 2 and 3 again.

If at all possible, during your time of treatment, your wart should be covered with cotton that is soaked with apple cider vinegar at all times. If this is not possible for some reason, do it as much as possible. For instance, if your wart is on your face, and you don’t want to walk around with the unsightly bandage-covered cotton during the day, just do it when you are home and while you are sleeping. Or, if you have warts on the bottom of your feet and it is uncomfortable to walk around with apple-cider soaked cotton balls bandaged to the bottom of your feet, then do the treatment only overnight, while you are sleeping.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHILE TREATING WARTS USING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

  1. The wart will likely turn black during this process. This is normal and is nothing to worry about.
  2. The wart will dry and begin to shrivel. This is a good thing!
  3. Some people experience pain when using apple cider vinegar for wart removal. This is also normal and nothing to be concerned about, but it is up to you whether or not you can handle the pain.

Are you skeptical that something as simple as apple cider vinegar can work for wart removal? Why not give it a try anyway? It has worked for multitudes of people and besides, you have nothing to lose other than those unsightly and painful warts!
