Does your child have chicken pox? If they do, you may be looking for ways to provide them with some relief. Chicken pox gives everyone the annoying urge to itch, unfortunately if you itch too much you can develop permanent scaring and also risk infection. Herbal tea is ideal for children that have chicken pox. Many natural herbal teas provide those who drink with calmness. Feeling calm is a good thing for sick children because they begin feeling restless and hopeless. Make sure that you limit your child’s intake of herbal tea to a slow consumption pace.

Vitamin E oil is a very good way to provide your child with chicken pox relief. You should apply the Vitamin E oil directly to the skin to help aid in the itching symptoms. Not only will it help with the itching, but it will also help with the healing. Applying Vitamin E oil once or twice a day should provide enough relief for your child. Applying Vitamin E oil directly to the skin can help heal the marks that come from the chicken pox. Therefore, Vitamin E oil is ideal to prevent scaring.

Green pea water is another way to relieve the discomforts that come from the chicken pox. The green pea water can help with the itching when applied directly to the skin. Green pea water is what my Mother used when I had the chicken pox as a child. My mother would cook the peas on the stove, drain the peas, and save the water. She would then let the water cool down and then apply it directly to my skin using a clean cloth. The green pea water would provide me with instant relief.

Honey is another home remedy that can be used for the chicken pox. You can apply the honey directly to the skin for instant relief. However, the honey remedy can be quite messy and sticky. Some people claim that the honey will speed up the chicken pox and cause them to heal at an accelerated rate.

One of the most common home remedies for the chicken pox is an oatmeal bath. You can also apply the oatmeal directly to the skin, but most parents find it easier to just prepare an oatmeal bath instead. I’ve heard that if you prepare a large amount of oatmeal and then place it in a cloth bag inside the bath water it can be less messy than putting the oatmeal directly into the bath tub.

There are many natural home remedies that you can use to help your child deal with the chicken pox. But, you should always discuss the chicken pox with your child and make sure they understand that they should not itch themselves no matter how tempting it may be. Also let them know that they bumps and markings will eventually vanish from their skin so they don’t worry. If they are having a hard time not touching or itching themselves, remember these mentioned home remedies so you can provide them with some relief from the irritation.
