Happy Hour Choice in Tampa Bay, Florida: Check Out Bar Louie

On a recent trip to a Tampa Bay, Florida for a business trip I was looking for somewhere I could have quality food as a reasonable price. What I found out what that Bar Louie has great happy hours specials, not only for drinks but food as well. I actually happened to discover this restaurant on a night when happy hour wasn’t on the agenda. I came across it on my first night in town when I was looking for a restaurant to eat at after watching the football games in my hotel room. While looking at the variety of restaurants in Tampa Bay, Florida’s International Plaza shopping enter I noticed what looked like a bar with a lot of televisions that wasn’t too croweded.

The first things you will notice when you enter Bar Louie in Tampa, Florida is the large number of televisions which are all flat screen and range from moderate size screens to very large ones. Speaking of very large, the main bar is very large with plenty of seating at the bar itself. When seated at the bar you will notice the large selection of beers on top. Cafe Louie has 48 beers on top. They also have a selection of over 20 speciality martinis.

On this first night I was just there to have a beer and order a dinner to bring back to my room with me. That night I had the jambalya which turned out to be very good. While waiting for my meal though I spoke with the bartenders and found out about their happy hour special. After calling around the next day to the restaurants in International Plaza shopping center I found that the happy hour at Bar Louie was definitely the best deal.

For happy hour they have $3 drafts. Their drafts at full price are close to $6 each so this is close to half off. Their specialty martinis are $5 during happy hour as well which also is close to half price. Speaking of half price, you can’t get food for half price, but you can get their “buy oen get one free appetizer” special during happy hour on select appetizers. In general you can make a meal easily out of two appetizers or split them with some friends as a snack during happy hour while enjoying a few beverages and socialization with your friends.

If you want to do more than sit at the bar at Bar Louie, there are other options. You can watch the large television screens surrounding the bar, or you can play a game of darts with your friends. Whatever you want to do while you are there you will be sure to enjoy a fun atmosphere with very friendly bartenders and good drink and food specials during happy hour. Happy hour is held daily weekdays from 4 pm until 7 pm.
