Guide to the Best WWE Wrestlemania Logos

Wrestlemania is World Wrestling Entertainment’s landmark pay per view, equivalent to the Super Bowl in the wrestling world, and along with the WWE symbol, the Wrestlemania lettering is a time honored tradition that can be recognized by WWE fans and non-fans all over the world. Every year there is a new Wrestlemania logo released and throughout its long history there have been some logos that have just stood out from the others and have made history themselves.

Wrestlemania: This article cannot be written without the original mentioned, because it set the standards for the rest of the logos. It was simple, worked great, and now is plastered all over WWE history. The logo features a gold capital W and capital M, with all of the rest of the letters in a lower cased bright silver. The R and S are connected adding a little style to the logo and the former WWF logo caps it all off, creating an instant classic for years to come.

Wrestlemania 2: The year after the inaugural Wrestlemania, it was time for its sequel, Wrestlemania 2. Before the Roman numeral tradition began, they simply stuck a big number 2 behind the original logo and it worked great. The logo is a pure 1980’s style, but it does not matter today because that is when the event took place. The 2 is huge and red and symbolizes an excellent pay per view that featured Hulk Hogan battling King Kong Bundy in the main event.

Wrestlemania X: Once the Roman numerals started, they stuck around, and there is not a better representation of them than at Wrestlemania X. Instead of placing the X to the side of the logo like most of the years previous, this pay per view featured the Roman numeral really big behind the Wrestlemania logo. It was perfect for such a big anniversary that featured a memorable pay per view event and logo.

Wrestlemania XII: When Wrestlemania went to Hollywood, they planned the perfect logo to represent their time there. This logo separates itself from many other Wrestlemania logos and is actually a spoof of another famous logo, 20th Century Fox. Taking on its searchlight theme and gold towers, this is one of the best Wrestlemania logos and it also represents one of the best Wrestlemania main events, the Iron Man match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Wrestlemania 23: One of the most recent Wrestlemania logos that stood out from the rest is the Wrestlemania 23 logo from 2007. This Wrestlemania took place at Ford Field and to commemorate Ford, and basically all cars, the logo actually looks like the front of a car, a possibly Wrestlemania branded car. The font and logo are sleek and current, and the logo really stands out and impresses above other logos.

As the Wrestlemania tradition continues, more logos will be released and some will please and entertain fans as some will disappoint, but most of them will just enjoy the great pay per view extravaganza.
