In what I see as being another affirmation of my middle-aged status in life, earlier this year, I began drinking decaf coffee in addition to regular coffee. I try to drink one or two cups of regular coffee and one cup of decaf coffee each day, as opposed to the three cups of regular coffee that I used to consume every day. Recently, on more than one occasion, my wonderful father has brought over jars of Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee for me to enjoy. Prior to that, I was drinking another well-known brand of instant decaf coffee. I must say, I am very impressed with the taste and overall quality of the Folgers instant decaf. So impressed in fact, that I have decided to write a product review of the item. The net weight of the Folgers Classic Decaf container is eight ounces (226 grams). According to the product label, this container holds enough decaf coffee to make up to 120 six ounce cups. The container itself is approximately six inches high and approximately five inches wide. making it easy to store pretty much anywhere.

I like the packaging of Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee much more than some other brands of instant coffee. Whereas many brands of instant decaf coffee are packaged in glass jars, this Folgers product is packaged in a handy plastic jar. The lid of the Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee jar screws on and off very easily and the jar is actually re – usable. The size and shape of this container makes it ideal for storing coins, nuts, bolts and screws and other small objects. Another thing that I like about the packaging of this instant decaf coffee is the foil safety seal that is positioned beneath the lid. Theon this instant decaf coffee container also features an attractive and colorful design.

Price
The retail price normally charged for one 8 ounce jar of Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets is approximately $5.79. Considering the great taste and overall high quality of this product, I think that this price is very reasonable.

Taste / Flavor
As with any type of food or beverage item, the taste or flavor of the product is very important. The flavor offered by Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee is very pleasant and enjoyable. As soon as I add boiling water to this instant decaf coffee, it releases a wonderful aroma that rivals any fresh – brewed coffee. With some brands of instant decaf coffee, the products taste different from regular coffee. Not so with Folgers Classic Decaf. This instant decaf coffee maintains a flavor that is very close to that of rich, high – quality regular coffee. When paired with a piece of pastry, donut, muffin or other breakfast treat, the taste of this instant decaf coffee is absolutely wonderful.

Preparation
Enjoying a cup of Folgers Classic Decaf instant coffee is very quick and easy to do. According to the product label, one slightly rounded teaspoon is enough coffee for one 6 ounce cup. Truth be told, when I prepare a cup of Folgers Classic Decaf, or any other brand or type of instant coffee, I usually use approximately two teaspoons, because I prefer a stronger cup of coffee.
