Family Feud: You Can Be a Guest or Competitor

Many people want to compete on “Family Feud,” and other game shows to make some extra money while having fun at the same time. Some people also want to visit “Family Feud,” because it’s a game show that is friendly for all age groups; and very active in fundraising and charitable activities all over the country. “Family Feud,” also pays charitable groups to be a part of its studio audience. In this way; churches and other charities can turn a fun trip to a Hollywood studio into a significant fundraiser for their group.

Family Feud,” is an American game show that many people enjoy watching and playing along with in their homes. The premise is that two families are pitted against one another. They must answer trivia questions and questions about popular culture by determining the way in which the majority of other Americans that are polled will answer the question. The questions are usually not very hard; but sometimes guessing the way the American public will answer a seemingly simple question, may not be as easy as the families think. Any American family has the opportunity to apply to play on “Family Feud.”

“Family Feud,” has been around for many years and has had a few different hosts. The Current host of “Family Feud,” is John O’Hurley; most famous for his comedic performances on “Seinfeld,” as Elaine’s eccentric boss. Regular people are welcome to play on “Family Feud,” as contestants or join the fun by participating the studio audience.

In order to visit “Family Feud,” as a competition family, make sure that all of your family members will be available for weekend dates in the coming year. “Family Feud,” tapes it’s shows on Saturdays and Sundays in it’s studios in Hollywood, CA. As a charitable group; you must make sure a large group will be able to attend a taping. The studio will contact you letting you know if your family has been accepted to play, or when your group can visit. A producer or audience coordinator will let you know when you will be scheduled to appear.

When trying to make it as a competing family; you must be friendly and courteous when dealing with show staff. Know everything you can about the show and behave as if you’re an enthusiastic fan of the show. They want people to play on “Family Feud,” that are fun to watch and appear to be fans of the show.

Know fun and interesting facts about your family that you can recite right away on the spot. “Family Feud’s,” producers will want to know why they should pick your family. Is there a new baby on the way; or was there recently a marriage? Do you have any active military members in your family?

Remember that the “Family Feud,” TV show will not pay your travel and room expenses. Know that you will have to pay that for yourself to get to the studio. If you play on “Family Feud,” and win; your expenses will not be paid. If you play on “Family Feud,” and do not win; then “Family Feud,” will pay for your expenses after the game (not beforehand.) You should always have extra money on hand when traveling to “Family Feud;” just in case of an emergency. As a competing family, your stipend may not be enough to cover all your room, board and travel expenses.
