Fallout New Vegas – Challenge Perks Guide

This guide will cover the various perks unlocked and available to a character by completing certain requirements in the game Fallout New Vegas. These Challenge perks as they called, are attainable by any character no matter the stats or follower, as long as that player completes a specific set of feats. It is possible to attain all of these perks on every character made.

Abomination
Gives increased damage against Abominations such as Deathclaws and Centaurs. Every 50 Abomination creature type kills will grant one rank of this perk. The damage bonus progress as follows; Rank 1: 3%, Rank 2: 6%, Rank 3: 10%
Requirements: Kill Abominations 50/100/150

Animal Control
Gives increased damage against Mutated Animals such as Mole Rats and Geckos. Every 50 Mutated Animals creature type kills will grant one rank of this perk. The damage bonus progress as follows; Rank 1: 3%, Rank 2: 6%, Rank 3: 10%

Beautiful Beatdown
Gives a 10% reduction to the action point cost of all unarmed attacks.
Requirements: Kill 50 enemies with unarmed weapons.

Bug Stomper
Gives increased damage against Mutated Insects such as Radscorpions and Giant Ants. Every 50 Mutated Insects creature type kills will grant one rank of this perk. The damage bonus progress as follows; Rank 1: 3%, Rank 2: 6%, Rank 3: 10%

All water items hydrate 15% better. Most useful on hardcore mode.

Dine and Dash
Gives the option to take Human Remains food item from a corpse to allow them to eat later.
Requirements: Eat 25 corpses with the Cannibal perk.

Gives the a 50% increased duration to Turbo when used.

Friendly Help
Causes Miss Fortune or the Mysterious Stranger to appear twice as often.
Requirements: Receive 15 Mysterious Stranger visits.

Lord Death
Deals extra damage to all enemies. Rank 1: 1%, Rank 2: 2%. Rank 3: 4%. Rank 2 is called Lord Death of Murder Mountain and rank 3 is called Apocalypse Ain’t Got Nothing On Me.
Requirements: Kill any enemy: 200/750/1000

Machine Head
Gives increased damage against Robots such as Mr Gutsy or Securitrons. Every 50 Robot creature type kills will grant one rank of this perk. The damage bonus progress as follows; Rank 1: 3%, Rank 2: 6%, Rank 3: 10%

Melee Hacker
Gives an additional 5% attack speed to melee weapons per rank. You must do 10,000 damage with both one handed and two handed weapons each to unlock both ranks.

Set Lasers for Fun
Gives an additional 2% critical chance to laser weapons per rank. You must do both weapon damage requirements to get both ranks.
Requirements: Do 1 hand Laser damage 16,000/ Do Laser Riffle damage 25,000

Tough Guy
Causes all of your limbs to take 20% less damage. HP damage stays the same.
Requirements: Cripple your limbs 50 times.
