Doing a Pancreas Cleanse

According to the American Diabetes Association in the United States, 23.6 million children and adults – or roughly 8% of the population – suffer from diabetes. Diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death in the USA. It is a disease that is characterized by high blood glucose levels due to defective insulin secretion. Because it is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, insulin is a hormone that affects practically every cell in the body. Among its other functions, it accelerates oxidation of sugar in the body’s cells. Lack of insulin causes diabetes.

The organ responsible for producing insulin is the tadpole-shaped pancreas that is tucked behind the stomach. This gland is part of both the endocrine system, which is responsible for producing hormones, as well as the digestive system, which processes the food we ingest into usable forms for the body. The pancreas is a repository for digestive enzymes and any damage that befalls it can be potentially hazardous to our health.

Because of the important functions it performs for the well-being of our bodies, it would behoove all of us to take good care of our often neglected pancreas. One of the best ways to do this is by having a pancreas cleanse. This is done by eating a healthy diet while ingesting natural herbal supplements such as golden seal root, juniper berries, uva ursi leaves, hydrangea, comfrey root, devil’s club, huckleberry, and a host of others. These herbs promote pancreatic health.

There are various herbal programs in the market that you can utilize in your pancreas cleanse, or you can make up your own blend. Basically, a good cleanse program will help normalize and regulate blood sugar levels, improve blood circulation throughout the entire body, stimulate the secretion of pancreatic juices and enzymes such as insulin, strengthen and tone the pancreas, eliminate excessive fluid waste buildup, and stimulate bowel movement.

Since the pancreas is somewhat vulnerable to parasitic infections, a colon cleanse and parasite cleanse is recommended before embarking on a pancreas cleanse. As all these cleanses can cause gastric discomfort and irregular bowel movements, you need to make allowances for these. Perhaps it’s best to set aside time specifically for the purpose of the cleanse.

While doing your cleanse, it’s important to drink a lot of water; 7 to 10 eight-ounce glasses a day is good. Take a good multi-vitamin. Ask your doctor or health practitioner to prescribe one for you, if you don’t have one. To assist the process of detoxification along, take a hot bath every day, scrubbing your skin with a loofah to aid in blood circulation. Exercise daily for a minimum of 45 minutes. Toxins are released from your body when you sweat. Do relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, as well to speed up the exit of toxins through your lungs.

A pancreas cleanse will do wonders for you. Medical problems such as allergies, arthritis, colitis, candidiasis, migraines, back problems, multiple sclerosis, colitis and many others have been said to be cured or at least abated through this powerful process.
