Best Parks in Santa Clarita, California

One of the benefits of living in Santa Clarita, California is the vast amount of parks in the area. There are over twenty-five parks. Here are some of my favorites.

Pamplico Park

This park is located near James Foster Elementary School on Pamplico Drive in Saugus. If you want a park that is not crowded, this is the park for you. The park is situated on top of a hill so there are great views of the valley below. There are two play areas. One is for kids ages two to five. There is sand, plastic creatures to climb on and a play structure. Up above is a play structure for older kids. This one has woodchips and is under a shaded tarp. There is a big field, basketball courts and nice soft sand. This park is very well kept up.

Heritage Park

This park is located at the corner of McBean Pkwy and Newhall Ranch Rd in Valencia. This park has bathrooms and a big shaded area with benches that is great for a party. Additionally, there are two play structures and lots of benches. On the outskirts of the park, there is a riverbank trail. This is a nice place to go for a walk. There are also fields for playing football or soccer.

Bridgeport Park

Bridgeport Park is a sunny park with a baseball diamond and playground structure. This is one of my favorite parks because a short walk away is Bridgeport Lake where you can see a lot of ducks. This is always fun for the kids. This park is located at 23520 Bridgeport Lane, Valencia, CA 91355.

Meadows Park

Due to its shade, this park is great for hot summer months. Additionally, there is a baseball diamond and basketball courts. There are swings for babies and older children. Bring the sand toys, because this is a sand park. Meadows Park is located at 25671 Fedala Road Valencia, Ca 91355.

West Creek Community Park

This is one of the newer parks in the valley. There are some really unique playground equipment such as a rock climbing wall and another big, man-made rock to climb on. This park is not very crowded and the grounds are very well kept. There is a basketball court and a nice walkway for walks. Finally, there is a sheltered area with picnic tables and barbeques. West Creek Park is located at 24247 Village Circle in Valencia.

Central Park

Central Park is huge. Many soccer and baseball games take place here and there are lights for night use. There is a playground structure, swings and bathrooms. Additionally, there is a small dog park in the back for taking Fido. Basketball courts and dirt trails make this a very well rounded park. Central Park is located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Saugus, CA, 91350.

I haven’t been to park that I disliked in Santa Clarita. These are simply the best of the best.
