Arkansas’ Best Camping Spots

With its mild climate, camping is a year round activity in the Arkansas. Some of the best campgrounds are located throughout the “natural state.” They vary from primitive to deluxe with electrical hook ups, and even cabins. Campgrounds offer other activities, also, such as scenic views, fishing, boating, swimming in season, hiking, and even planned activities.

Some of the most popular sites are located in the Arkansas State Parks, but not limited to them. These parks are located within minutes of larger cities, where various activities are held throughout the year.

Located off U.S. 75, Exit off U.S. 70, in Arkansas, is the location of a popular camping spot.Hot Springs National Park is a good example of one of the best. Hot Springs is knows as “Spa City”, because of the restored bathhouse row, which is now a historic site. The spring waters, hot to the touch, are a draw to this area. Horse racing is available January through April. A casino is located at the horse track.Campgrounds in the park are located just five miles from the city and the campgrounds range from private ones, tents and self contained vehicles. The rock formations, throughout the park, are spectacular. The nice advantage of this campground is there are no reservations needed nor accepted.
