Activities for Children in Michigan

Here in Michigan it gets really cold in the Winter months. They also seem to last so much longer then the summer months. If you have little kids, by the time summer gets here you are probably about ready to pull your hair out. Kids need time to be kids. They need to run, jump and play. If you are like me, most of these things are not aloud in the house, they are outside things only. I have found some really neat places that allow your children to run, scream and play. They are fairly cheep and very much worth the money. Your kids will have a blast and be tired at night, giving you a peaceful night.

Bouncing off the wall
3887 Fort Street
Wyandotte, Mi
734-246-9977

The name should say it all. The kids are allowed to really bounce all over the place. They have Many blow up things for children to bounce on and jump in. They offer private parties, Open Bounce, overnight lock-ins, Fund raisers, field trips and birthday parties. The average price is 6 bucks per kids. I don’t know about you, But I will pay anyone 6 bucks if they can wear my child out. For open bounce there is special times, so you may want to call first.

Fantasy Forest
4731 Washtenaw Avenue
Ann Arbor, Mi
734-528-9627

Fantasy Forest is a great place to take your children to play. They offer a very safe and clean environment that everyone will love. Many areas are set up just for toddlers to play; this way they don’t get trampled by the bigger kids. This indoor play facility provides a whimsical, magical environment with a huge play structure. A puppet area, an exploration station with rotating music, science, reading and hands on crafts. They have slides and swings for the children also. There are so many things you will need to see it to believe it. They have a garden cafe for you to have snacks at with the whole family. The parents can even see the play area from the cafe, so you can let the kids play while you chat with adults. They have open play and party time available. I haven’t been to a party here, but from what I have herd its great. The staff works really hard at keeping the place clean and fun.

Kids Play Cafe
306 S. Main street
Plymouth, Michigan
734-455-5100

This is one of the best indoor play centers around. I’m sure in some time with word of mouth we will begin to see these all over the place. For the adults they offer free wireless Internet, flat screen TV, nice leather chairs and plenty of reading material. Parents can kick back and relax while their children are having fun and not getting in trouble for it. They have a padded climbing structure that is nearly three stories high. This provides the children with a nice workout. Shh, Don’t tell them that though. When the children get to the top they can look around the whole building through the huge mesh globe. Close to the seating area is the toddler area for children under three years old. This is partially in closed to help keep your toddler in. The one thing I really liked about this place that just thrilled my kids was they are not boy and girls here. They are called King and Queens. The children being called these. Your kids will Thank you for this place.
