Acid urine can increase the chances and the level of pain with urinary burning. Many people will try to cure the situation on their own disregarding the potential danger at hand.

Most people think that acid urine is nothing but a mere urinary tract infection, or UTI. In most cases, this is really the cause. Unfortunately, it is not the only condition that can cause acidic urine. Acidic urine can also be cause by other and more dangerous conditions.

According to Web MD, there are many other conditions that can cause symptoms that may mimic acid urine. Among these conditions are STDs, kidney stones, and cysts. Most people would know to go to the doctor for STDs if they’ve been having unprotected sex. Kidney stones would usually also be apparent because they would most likely cause tremendous pain in other places such as the abdomen.

Unfortunately, cysts may be a little different when it comes to acidic urine. This is because cysts are pretty much cancerous cells. Since they are cancerous cells there would be no infection to detect to go along with the burning sensation that could mimic acid urine. Many people would try to rectify this situation with cranberry juice to no avail. The problem with this situation is that some cysts can develop further into a full blown cancer. If unchecked, the cancer would undergo metastasis. That means that the cancer will spread to other parts of the body even though it originated in the urinary tract system. This condition could also cause a burning sensation when urinating. Because this is the effect of a cancer that has metastasized, any cancer in your body that has spread can cause the same effect of acid urine. That means lung cancer that has metastasized can ultimately have the same effect as cancerous growths that originated in the urinary tract. This only makes it more important that the acidic urine condition is checked by a professional.
