Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts

If you want to get away for some good family fun, I highly recommend you make a trip to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts. I am going to review the location in Waller, Texas but they have them all over the United States.

The rates are very reasonable and have a variety of accommodations from primitive locations for pitching a tent to nice cabins. Here are the free activities as part of your stay.

Miniature Golf
Tennis
WaterPark
Swimming Pool
Hayride
Bathroom/shower facilities
Outdoor Movie theatre
Petting zoo
Tennis
Tether ball
Meet Yogi Bear
Picnic Tables
Basketball

All the equipment needed for the above activities are free as well so you don’t have to bring anything but your bathing suit, clothes, towels & toiletries.

They have a store where you can purchase memorabilia and other items like food and drinks. You are allowed to bring your pets if you like. They are not allowed inside the cabins so if you want to bring Rover, you really have to rough it!

The water park has a picnic basket that fills with water and dumps whenever it is full. The kids really enjoy that. The pool area has multiple basketball hoops in the middle so you can shoot hoops while you’re in the water. There are lounge chairs in case you get tired or just want to sunbathe.

The hayride is enjoyable. They make it fun by making sharp turns going round and round and they go over small hills. Very exhilarating!

The bathroom facility is very nice and clean. It has a shower in it so you can get the camping stink off of you every so often. That is if you like being clean!

My favorite memories are of the outdoor movie theatre. They have these very large logs where you can sit down and watch the movie. It is projected on large pieces of plywood painted white. The older you get, the less comfortable those logs might be so you might bring an extra chair just in case. These movies are always appropriate for children.

Each weekend they have special events so before you go, see what activities they have planned.

You’re not able to hang out with the pets in their petting zoo because they are inside a fence that you’re not supposed to go in. They have holes in the fence where you can reach through and pet them. This is better and helps them keep the zoo area clean.

We enjoyed playing tether ball. I never really played it before but it is so much fun I found myself laughing so hard that I miss the ball!

As if all of this wasn’t enough, your little ones can greet Yogi Bear in the morning when he raises the Yogi flag in front of their store. Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts is a great place to take your family and visit with other campers and friends. This park gets two thumbs up from me and my family!
