The peoples choice in movie news and reviews will talk a little about wrestling. I have been watching wrestling for years when Bruno Samartino was the then WWWF champion. When there was an NWA in which Harley Race was the king.
But now we have the WWE and Impact Wrestling. Which I think is a good thing for the wrestlers and the fans both. When Vince brought WCW the show started out pretty good but then without any viable competition it got stale fast.
When TNA first started I used to hear people talking about it saying how good it was but at the time it did not have a home so you had to try and catch it where ever and when ever you could.
Eventually it got a home and I got to watch it. I was never really a Jeff Jarrett fan and since he owned the company he was always the champion but just after watching it a few times I knew this new upstart wrestling show was going to be big one day. When I used to talk about it with other wrestling fans in my area they said, no way but I always knew it would.
I remember Samoa Joes undefeated streak, I remember Christian when he came over for a short time. Tara when she came over from WWE I was elated to see that because the WWE was just using her as a stepping stone for other female wrestlers they wanted to hype. Tara should get the title back in TNA but they to have moved her to the background almost the way the WWE did.
Some of my concerns with TNA is that they have to much talent for a 2 hour 1 time a week program so we don’t often get to see some of the great talent like the Motor City Machine Guns as often as we would like. Some of the wrestlers we don’t get to see but once a month, if that.
They should really try harder to keep some of their talent Why in the world did they let Awesome Kong go? I am glad to see Sting still around and see that they even let him get the title a few times.
They have Scott Steiner which they need to use more, he does injure easily but he is a great draw. But this goes to the comment I made earlier they have to much talent for a 2 hour 1 time a week show. I love the new direction they are heading in, wrestling matters but I think they need to take some of the comedy out of the show and get it a little more serious. This Thursday I can’t wait to see The Sting Anderson match. I must write about that one, and we get to see it on TV no PPV. Great job Impact Wrestling.
Did TNA need to bring in Hulk Hogan and Ezy E? I will talk about that next time.
The WWE has been getting interesting lately. It seems they are bringing Mark Henry to the fore front again which is good because they really have not used him well in the past, here he is the strongest man in the world but he was getting beat by almost every wrestler on the WWE roster. I don’t know why Mark stayed there for so long.
R Truth I love the new direction they have taken the character but again why is he not some kind of champion?
Their female division is weak just eye candy I like Impacts female division a lot better those women are there to wrestle.
One strong point for WWE is that they have a lot of talent but have 2 shows so we get to see the talent.
I’m glad to see John Cena with the title again I hope he does keep it till his battle with the Rock at Wrestle mania. Monday night was a good show I don’t know if the words between Punk and Cena was shooting or just a part of the act. But Punk made a point when he said Cena is no longer the Underdog. I really hope Punk does not leave the WWE if the powers that be would use him right he could be as good a part of the WWE band wagon as Edge was.
What has happened to Triple H? Has he retired? If so it is the end of an era with both he and Sean Michaels out of the game.
I have been enjoying Monday Night Raw as of late, bringing in Mr. McMahon adds something to the show. I might just have to watch this up coming PPV, I love the Hype they have done with the Cena Punk match.
Has anyone thought who the anonymous General manger could be? I will let you know my guess next time.
