Watching a Panthers Game at Bank of America Stadium

Bank of America Stadium Offers Great Family Football Experience
The home of the Carolina Panthers is the Bank of America Stadium in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. The facility is unique because it houses the team’s practice fields, offices and training facilities all under one roof. See the Bank of America Stadium seating chart for further information.

Besides football, in 2012 the stadium will host the final event for the Democratic National Convention which is being held in Charlotte. In addition to the Panther’s games played there, the stadium also hosts several college games including the ACC Championship and the Belk Bowl each year.

Several areas throughout the stadium are geared towards family fun. These areas open two hours before kickoff. The Panthers Lair is filled with interactive games where kids can play to win prizes. Prior to each game they can also have their face painted and receive autographs from the mascot Sir Purr and the TopCats cheerleaders. The area is located near the South and East Gates.

Another area families will enjoy is the Sir Purr’s Play Den inside the stadium. The area includes a miniature turf grass field and players uniforms for children to wear. At the team’s practice fields visitors can head over to the Fuel Up to Play 60 Kids Combine where children can participate in exercises that help them learn football skills and in general football drills. An inflatable obstacle course and dance studio are also there to help kids get active. This area closes 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Adults visiting the stadium will enjoy a new amenity that was added for fans in 2012. AT&T; has added over 450 free WI-Fi access points throughout the stadium.

Another added bonus is that there are nearly twice as many concession stands in the stadium for fans compared to other locations in the NFL. The abundance of stands shortens visitors wait for their food. The Carolina BBQ remains a fan favorite and pulled pork is the top choice for many visitors from the Gates BBQ stand.

Anyone planning to tailgate prior to a game should make sure to follow the guidelines for operating cooking devices in the parking areas. Open-flame devices must be at set distances from buildings and other combustible materials. Trash containers are provided for the disposal of coal and ash leftover from any cooking devices.

Single game tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Bank of America Stadium Office. The price for tickets is $39 up to $97. Ticketmaster offers tickets online, by phone or at ticket centers. The stadium offers a variety of club seating and luxury suites for fans looking for a more extravagant experience while attending a game at the Stadium.

Fans arriving at the stadium have easy access to parking within the stadium’s immediate vicinity. In addition, the LYNX Blue Line light-rail has a stop only a few blocks from the stadium.

Bank of America Stadium is a great place for families to enjoy a football game. Since all of the Panthers operations are located in one location the team has the space to offer fans additional amenities compared to other teams.
