Packers’ Lambeau Field Offers Exceptional Game Day Experience

After arriving to the stadium, visitors should head to the Tundra Tailgate Zone. The area is located in the east parking lot and opens four hours before kickoff. The Zone is a temperature controlled space that is free and open to the public. Large screen televisions allow fans to enjoy all the action of the game and live bands provide free entertainment. Visitors also have the chance to win raffle prizes and to meet Packers alumni.
After visiting the tailgating zone, fans should plan to enter through the Lambeau Field Atrium. Inside Curly’s Pub, the Packers Hall of Fame and Pro Shop are open for the enjoyment of fans. Besides going here on game days, fans can visit the atrium any time allowing them access to the stadium all year.
A great place to grab food is Curly’s Pub that is named after the team’s first head coach, Curly Lambeau. The pub is known for its hand-breaded Wisconsin cheese curds and the Door County Turkey Burger that is topped with Swiss cheese, onions and tomatoes. At the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame visitors can check out 80 exhibits about the team including a replica of Vince Lombardi’s office and the team’s Super Bowl trophies.
On game days, the Hall of Fame is only open to game ticket holders. However, fans should note there is still an additional charge for admission of $10 for adults and $5 for children. Discounts are available for students and members of the military.
A favorite restaurant at Lambeau Field is the Meat Packing Company. At the restaurant, giant bratwursts are served along with overstuffed sandwiches to satisfy the appetites of hungry Packer fans.
One of the new food items for the 2012 season is the Pac’n Cheese. Besides traditional macaroni and cheese, visitors can choose from buffalo chicken mac, brat mac or chili mac. Fans can also satisfy their appetite with Lambeau’s twist on nachos which are waffle fries topped with bacon, green onions, nacho cheese and sour cream.
Enjoying a game at Lambeau Field is easy, but securing a ticket for a game is often a challenge. Fans can visit the NFL Ticket Exchange located on the league’s website to check for tickets being sold for individual games. In addition, the week of a game the Packers will place any tickets returned by the visiting team up for sale through the Ticketmaster link on their website.
