Topher Grace: The Spiderman 3 Upgrade

The world has been introduced to a new side of Topher Grace. This Hollywood actor recently appeared on the “Today” show to promote one of the most popular action movies of 2007. At first glance, one would believe that there is a new and upcoming talent chosen to respondent a Sam Raimi flick with Tobey McGuire. It isn’t long before a longtime television actor is noticed up on the screen. This new and upcoming talent is actually a well-known comedy actor by the name of Topher Grace. He has emerged from a short hiatus and is definitely someone to watch in the next few years.

That 70’s Show may have been broadcast to the entire television audience. However, it has created its own niche fan base. Topher Grace played the character of Eric Forman, a teenager who loves to have fun with his five friends who are all unique. However, Eric Forman is usually the subject of insults among his family and friends. He fears his girlfriend Donna, who rules their relationship.

The source of his fear may come from the fact that she can beat him in a fist fight. Eric Forman is not the average stud, even for a show that is set in 1970. His male friends get more action and respect. However, he is a smart teenager who has college potential. Topher Grace has portrayed Foreman for nine years. There has not been much adoration for this actor who has been merely perceived as the wimpy That 70’s Show character.

Instead, Topher Grace has lingered behind more popular cast members. These actors include Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama. The two men have appeared in numerous movies and television shows within the last decade. Both Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama have been featured in popular entertainment magazines and award shows. It is no surprise that teenage girls have posters of these actors attached to their bedroom wall and high school locker. Within the last ten years, Topher Grace has appeared in a few movies including Mona Lisa Smile and Traffic. These appearances have not been enough to garner much attention for the former That 70’s Show actor.

Sam Raimi’s Spiderman 3 movie has changed all of that. Topher Grace plays one of Spiderman’s enemies in the latest addition to the Spiderman movie franchise. This has given the actor an opportunity to place himself in front of millions of movie and comic fans. Those who have not paid attention to Topher Grace in the past will surely focus on the star now. He is currently more polished and has attempted to separate himself from the thin and dorky character that Grace played on television.

Topher Grace has become much hotter than the Eric Forman that many television viewers are used to. His stardom will progress so long as he takes advantage of new opportunities that may come now that the media is starting to pay close attention. Topher Grace can now be seen on TV and in magazines. It won’t be long before the public notices this talented actor in more Hollywood blockbusters. Topher Grace has officially been upgraded from a scrawny, intimidated kid to a refined and eye-catching performer with superstar potential.
