Saddleback is a super Maine Ski Resort with just about anything you could want. It is not too big and not too small. There are 54 trails with 2 T-Bars, 2 Double Chairs, and1 Fixed Grip Quad. The trails are rated from beginner to expert only. Most smaller resorts do not have expert slopes. In addition to the Alpine skiing, you will enjoy Cross Country/Nordic skiing, Snowboarding is allowed on all the trails, Half Pipe and a Terrain Park. Big Squaw is one of the smaller resorts, great for families and beginners. It is nice to learn in an uncrowded environment. Big Squaw Maine Ski Resort has 33 trails with Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and a Terrain Park. Big Squaw has their own on site lodging and you cannot beat the deals here. Room rates start as low as $49 a night. The Lower Mountain cafeteria is open 8:30 a.m. to 4: p.m. serving lunch It is in the motel, which is located right by the slopes, it is a ski in ski out motel, so you can ski in for a food break and rest from the slopes.

Lost Valley is one of the smallest Maine Ski Resorts. It is family friendly and if you like an uncrowded environment, then you should give this one a shot. It has 15 trails with 3 lifts 1 Surface Lift and 2 Double Chairs. There is Alpine Skiing, day and night, Cross Country/Nordic Skiing, snowboarding and there is a Terrain Park. This is a great place for your next event or family reunion. They have banquet facilities available at their lodge for very reasonable prices. There is a large variety of lodging options in the area.
