Top Foreclosure Listing Sites for Florida

As I am in the market to buy a home right now, I have come across many resources in order to find homes for sale, bank owned homes and foreclosure listings. Following are what I have decided to be the best 3 listings featuring mostly or all foreclosure and Real Estate owned homes.

http://www.fl.foreclosure.com is a free service that emails you listings within Florida almost daily. These listings are usually homes that haven’t hit any other websites yet, so you generally get a first look before the general population. It is a free service for the first 7 days, all you have to do is register for an account.

I suggest using this site if you are very serious about buying a foreclosure property. As you only have a 7 day free trial, that limits your time frame for looking and researching the listed properties. The site also provides a bidding program so that you can bid on the properties you are interested in. You do have to provide proof of funds and all that jazz like you would if you were putting an offer on a home, but this really makes the process a lot easier. There are over 1000 listings in my county alone, so I know that it has a lot of properties to offer.

If you’re looking for a mix of foreclosure, bank owned, short sale and general sale properties, http://www.expertrealty.com is very prosperous. The customer service is fast and friendly, as they are generally just a call service for other larger real estate agencies. I actually found my agent through Expert Realty and she has stuck with me through my vigorous search (since I’m the kind of person who always wants more, its been a difficult search so far). They have plenty of amenities to chose from in your search, and return results based on specific cities, neighborhoods or addresses. I like this site because you can save your favorites, and when you want to see a property with an agent, you can usually do it the same day. The registration isn’t a trial period, you can stay registered and view for free as long as you’d like. They also provide you with the MLS number and the address so you can look the homes up on other sites, on the property appraiser website and even drive by to see if it’s something you’d be interested in before you officially look with an agent.

http://www.hudexchange.com is a free foreclosure listing site with a pretty big selection. There is no trial period that I know of so far, but they do pre-qualify you for loans or otherwise in order to search on their site. They have a huge selection in South Florida, and they do get back to you about your prequalification usually the first or second day you sign up. The webmaster does update the site 3 times a day so for being free, you are provided with a great amount of listings.

Also, just by googling ‘free foreclosure listings in Florida’ you can find countless other sites with foreclosure listings and information. Many of the sites carry the same listings, and some are unique, so it doesn’t hurt to join a few or more in order to maximize your housing potential.
