Madison, Wisconsin is known as one of the biggest part towns in the United States. Madison is located in the Southern portion of the state and is home to the top university in the state, UW-Madison. When visiting Madison, there is no need to just be attending the Badgers’ sporting events as there are so many things to do throughout the city and its suburbs. This is a great summer destination in Madison as there are 16 acres of outdoor gardens to explore and be amazed over. There is also an indoor conservatory filled with plants and birds from all over the world. There even is a stunning indoor waterfall amidst all the wildlife. The Olbrich Botanical Gardens are even a great place to get married as they offer rooms that can be rented for the ceremony. Hours fluctuate depending on the season

The Wisconsin State Capital is not your normal state capital and visiting it makes a great thing to do in Madison, WI. What is amazing about the capital is that it is the second largest domed capital in the United States (second only to the United States Capital Building) and is so large that it has its own zip code. The paintings and sculptures are amazing and worth the visit alone to the state capital. Tours can be set up at their website and people are allowed to enter as they please.
