Top 10 Best Bruce Springsteen Songs

I have always been a fan of Bruce Springsteen. From the first song I ever heard to the present, I love his music. Every one of his songs is a treasure and a delight to hear. These are the top 10 best Bruce Springsteen songs that I love. Everyone has their favorites. These are mine!

1. Hungry Heart. This song tells a story like only Bruce Springsteen can tell. It has humor, pain and love in it. The sound of this song is very unique to me and I love hearing it. The “on the street singing” feeling is evident in this song and that quality makes this song stand out.

2. The River. I remember listening to this song and being swept away by the raw emotion and powerful story. This song moved me and I loved it. Again, this song is a good example of the unique quality of Bruce Springsteen. A touching and beautiful song. It is indeed as deep or deeper than a river. It carried me away. This song is a must hear for Springsteen fans.

3. Born In The U.S.A. I think this song is one of Bruce Springsteen’s best. It has such heart and emotion, not mention a fantastic beat. What a moving story and what a song. This tune earned it’s place in the top 10 best Bruce Springsteen songs. Forever. This is an unforgettable song and a true classic. It is pure solid gold.

4. I’m On Fire. This songs burns with passion, desire and love. A simple yet, very strong song. It is pure Bruce Springsteen, stripped down, raw and very intense. A wonderful tune that smolders it’s way into my heart. Sigh. A burning hit by the Boss.

5. Dancing In The Dark. This fun song is one of my very favorites by Bruce Springsteen. It has an unforgettable beat and it is impossible not to want to dance when you hear this song. It beckons the fleet of feet and the young at heart to the dance floor.

6. Tunnel Of Love. This tune startled me when I first heard it. It was a very different and more dark and moody side of the Boss. He shows emotion and shares the tale of a ride through the tunnel of love of reality. It ain’t always fun to be on this ride. This song’s truthfulness captured me and kept my attention.

7. Brilliant Disguise. Oh, the two or more faces of love. Yep. This song shares a love story that was, then wasn’t. Was it ever? Well, that is what the Boss is singing about. A brilliant disguise is hard to see through. This is a brilliant song. It brought me up close and personal to Bruce Springsteen. I felt he was sharing something painful and something important. We all have lessons to learn and that is why we are here. This song is my very favorite by the Boss. It ends with a question and it is unanswered yet, we all know the answer. Deep in our heart. Well done.

8. Glory Days. I love this song because it is about all of us. We all remember our glory days and love to talk about them. This song sums up those glory days gone by feelings wonderfully. A funny tune that has a touch of sadness but, it is also full of humor and reality. A definite top 10 best Bruce Springsteen songs contender and winner!

9. Streets Of Philadelphia. At first, I did not like this song. It finally grew on me, after much radio air play and publicity. The interesting fact about this song, it crossed over to a section of people who were not Bruce Springsteen fans. That is cool. This song won an Academy Award and a Grammy. Bruce Springsteen wrote it for the movie Philadelphia, an AIDS awareness story. I am still amazed by the number of fans this song made of my unaware of Bruce Springsteen friends. Wow. A song that is heartfelt and one that the Boss can indeed be proud of.

10. My Hometown. Hearing this song moves me tears. Really. Many of us can relate to being tied at the heart to the town that we grew up in. You can’t help it. This song is beautiful and it paints a picture that is touching. It earned it’s place in my top 10 best Bruce Springsteen songs list.

Now, for all of you older Bruce Springsteen fans who do not agree with my list, here are my honorable mentions. Prove It All Night, Born To Run and Darkness On The Edge Of Town. They are great songs. We all have our favorites. I really do not think the Boss can do a bad song. I did not differentiate between the E street band and all of that. This list is simply my favorite Bruce Springsteen tunes, no matter who was singing and playing along with him. Thanks for reading. Boss, this one is for you. Thanks for the music.
