Several tempura and teriyaki meat and seafood dishes are delicious and of above average quality. When it comes to sushi and sashimi, Fuji Sushi really makes the cut. Only the highest- quality and freshest ingredients are used in preparing their wide- ranging and creative menu of sushi. Prices are relatively inexpensive. Recommended.

Murasaki is a wonderful, top- of- the- line Japanese restaurant located next to Starbucks in trendy West Hartford Center. The decor is light, clean and semi- minimalist. At Murasaki, they feature fresh and colorful sushi and sashimi, but they also feature a wide selection of very good (cooked) hot, dinner entrees. Beef tenderloin, tempura shrimp and pork tenderloin are standout menu items. Teriyaki beef, chicken, tofu and salmon are all available in various dinner presentations. Their exciting appetizers, including ‘Ocean Fois Gras’, Mussels Murasaki and Murasaki Dynamite( whitefish baked in spicy sauce ) are fantastic. An unusual offering is their selection of five salads, which are very good. Many noodle dishes are also featured. Desserts at Murasaki are definitely worth saving room for. Items such as green tea and ginger ice cream, shaved ice with red beans and mochi( sweet rice ice cream ) are all unusual and delicious. Pricey, yet worth it.

Since 1990, Osaka restaurant has been preparing and serving only the freshest and finest quality sushi avaiable. A diverse menu of sashimi, creatively presented, draws customers from near and far. The interior of Osaka is elegantly spacious and provides for intimacy, if desired. A good selection of yakitori. or skewers, is featured at this excellent Japanese restaurant in West Hartford, Ct. Standout menu items include their ‘East Roll’, made with shrimp, caviar and crabmeat. Many Japanese dinner entrees, including combination plates are also offered.
