The Specialty Sandwich Co. in Holden, Massachusetts: Truly Fresh Sandwiches

Whenever I am in Holden, Massachusetts, outside of Worcester, Massachusetts, and it’s time to eat I head to The Specialty Sandwich Co. This is one of the local sandwich shops which serves truly fresh foods.

Casual Eatery, Fresh Food

The Specialty Sandwich Co. is a great place to eat in, for casual dining with the family, or stop and pick up a picnic lunch. The restaurant is set up so you order at the counter and pay for your food. The will call you up when the food is ready. I have also been there when they brought the food to the table.

The Specialty Sandwich Co. cooks their foods fresh, unlike some other local sandwich shops which claim to have fresh foods.

50+ Sandwiches

The menu of the Specialty Sandwich Co. features more than 50 incredible sandwiches ranging from traditional Italian subs to specialty sandwiches with scallops, hot pastrami, and traditional deli meats.

Chicken Marsala Wrap: Review

The Specialty Sandwich Co. has more than 20 chicken specialty sandwiches. It was a tough decision to make with all of the delicious-sounding choices, but I ordered the Chicken Marsala on a whole wheat wrap.

The Chicken Marsala made by The Specialty Sandwich Co. was pleasantly seasoned, but could have used just a dash of salt. It was the perfect temperature. The chicken was served with mushrooms, like a traditional Chicken Marsala would be. There were also perfectly-grilled onions.

The whole wheat wrap itself was soft and fresh and went well with the Chicken Marsala.

The sandwich came with a half-sour pickle and a bag of chips for $6.29.

While I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala Wrap, next time I will try one of the other chicken specialty sandwiches. They also offer a Grecian Chicken, a Buffalo Chicken, and a Caesar Chicken which I would like to try.

Ham and Cheese Kids’ Meal: Review

We ordered my son a ham and cheese sandwich on a bun from the Specialty Sandwich Co. This sandwich was packed with tasty ham. We had to remove some of the ham so that my son could eat the sandwich, because there was so much in it.

The hearty ham and cheese sandwich came on a toasted bun and was served with a pickle and chips. The price was $3.99.

Veal Cordon Bleu Sandwich: Review

My eating companion who would normally for one of the Italian Parmesan Subs at the Specialty Sandwich Co. He wanted to try something different so he ordered the Veal Cordon Bleu. For $6.29 this was a great sandwich, and a great buy.

Specialty Sandwich Co. Menu

Also on the menu at the Specialty Sandwich Co. are full platters with haddock or burgers, charcoal-grilled meat sandwiches, Cuban Specialty Subs, Chicken Quesadillas, appetizers, salads, French Bread Pizzas, and Gourmet French Bread Pizzas.

The Specialty Sandwich Co.

I recommend the Specialty Sandwich Co. for families, or any group of people. The menu is diverse and can accommodate many different palettes or food moods.

The Specialty Sandwich Co. is located at 624 Main Street in Holden, Massachusetts. The Specialty Sandwich Co. is next to the Massachusetts State Police building. For more information about the Specialty Sandwich Co. call (508) 829-4848
