The Flex Belt – Product Preview

Abdominal Workout, Toned Abs

So we all want to have a good looking body. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t like to have a good looking body; especially if the work that needs to be done is minimal. So when I learned of The Flex Belt, I have to say, I was a little suspicious. While some may label me a cynic I can’t think of any fitness product who claimed 100% product reliability. Ever. Yet the Flex Belt does just that; saying that if their product is used as the instructions indicate, users will have 100% success. While people’s definitions of success are relative, I figured I should give this product closer scrutiny to see if it holds up to snuff.

The Flex Belt does have one small success as its claim to fame; the Flex Belt is the “only ab belt toning system cleared by the FDA for toning.” That must mean something good as the FDA is horribly known for being very deliberate in its approval process. So the Flex Belt has been through the rigors of FDA approval, if that means much to you.

The Flex Belt process is supposed to help the muscles in the stomach by “firming and strengthening.” According to their own literature, the “Flex Belt (allows) you (to) train your abs even if you’re too busy or tired for a traditional workout.” Wow. Stop the presses. This is the best thing since liposuction for weight loss. What this little sentence says is that you can now have the body of bodybuilders without doing the bodybuilding. What will they think of next?

There is some presumed science behind this product. As a Flex Belt user you’re just supposed to “slip on the comfortable toning ab belt and the clinically demonstrated, patented medical-grade technology stimulates the nerves that makes your muscles contract and relax.” So it sounds a little like you’d be doing some workout with the Flex Belt. That is, your nerves are doing some work. So at least you’ll be “feeling” like you’re working out.

I think that this Flex Belt sounds about as good as any of the other miracle cures which are advertised on television. Why wouldn’t you just want to do your own “effective abdominal workout” and reap the composite benefits of good health training then strap on some belt for a half an hour a day to look like someone you’re not?
