I’m in the process of buying my first home…there is just one problem though, we have barely any furniture to put in it. Yeah we have our stupid bed, TV stand, and dresser already; but we have no tables, no couch, no cabinets…nothing! Because of this issue I have been searching online endlessly for the most unique pieces I can find. I want a unique home, not your average everyday Joe’s home. I want pizazz, style, with class all at the same time.
I came across many furniture sites claiming they were selling unique pieces of furniture; however when I stopped in, I noticed absolutely nothing offbeat or unique about the furniture offered.
This morning though, I finally met my match. A furniture site offering pieces I have yet to see anywhere else. One of a kind pieces! Now that’s what I’m talking about.
At www.straightlinedesigns.com I was greeted by the unusual, followed by reactions like ‘how the hell did they do that!’ and ‘hot damn, that’s friggin awesome!’.
Once I came across a piece I adored, I was a bit curious on how to go about ordering it. Directly on the pieces page there was no ‘BUY IT NOW’ button like most sites. I searched around and came across an ‘INTERESTED?’ button. By clicking here you are taken to a page at where you can email them regarding a certain piece of furniture you are interested in. You may also write them about certain pieces you yourself have been imagining, and they can actually make it for you.
What is so interesting about these furniture pieces?
You truly have to check out the site to see exactly what I am talking about. They have Grandfather clocks that looked like they jumped right out of the Disney cartoon Beauty and the Beast. Cabinets with extremely long legs called daddy long legs, a mermaid bed that looks like it seriously got stolen from Ariel herself, and other beds made to theme fit for a king or queen child.
Besides beds and tables, they have cabinets that are designed to look as if they have fallen apart, been blown up, or stretched out into an accordion like piece of equipment. Dressers look as if they have slipped right out of Alice in Wonderland, and really bizarre vanity’s that seem like they came from the movie Harry Potter.
Here at the site they also have projects available for sale, and trust me, when you see what they have to offer even you will be drooling. (Most of these projects are themed for children.)
I have inquired about one piece in particular, and I am most positive that the price will be extremely high, however once I saw this one clock, I had to have it. (Or at least I hope I can afford it)
