St. Pete Beach Bars: Caddy’s on the Beach

There’s always a party at Caddy’s On The Beach. It’s one of the Pinellas County Beaches most happening spots. But despite its party image, Caddy’s On The Beach can also deliver a more low-key beach day. You just have to know the locals tricks.

My personal favorite thing to do is get my drinks at the bar, and then mosey down the sand to a spot that’s not so crowded. If you stay up at the restaurant part of Caddy’s you’ll be involved in all the dancing and craziness. But avoiding the roof deck and the patio during the crowded times is the way to go. And there’s no rule that says you can’t walk down to the water with your beer can. Drinking a beer in the ocean is in my Top 5 all-time favorite activities. The salt adds something to cheap lager that makes it actually taste delicious.

Caddy’s may be overcrowded certain days, but the crowd is pretty diverse. Everyone loves the beach, right?

Another reason to come to Caddy’s On The Beach, the sunset. It’s on Sunset Beach, after all. The roof deck is a great place to watch the sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying an adult beverage and a sandwich. But if you want to get a good sunset watching spot, you need to arrive early. Caddy’s On The Beach offers valet, but only until it’s full… and that doesn’t take long. Parking in the St. Pete Beach area is tough. Come early.

If you don’t stay up at the bar/patio area for too long, Caddy’s On The Beach is a great way to get around the silly no-alcohol-at-the-beach rules in other parts of the county.
