It is that time again my fashion lovelies! Another round of fashion presentations from the four major fashion regions of Paris, Milan, London and New York to feast your eyes on is here. As always, the fashion begins with New York and ends with Paris. Grab your calendars and a pen so you can mark them for each event.
New York September 5 – 13, 2012
No lovelies I did not make a mistake. While the official date for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) does not begin until Thursday September 6th, designer Joseph Abboud is showing at the New York Public Library at 5:00pm Wednesday September 5, 2012. Then at 6:00pm, the Style Awards begin. Besides New York being one of the four major fashion hubs, NYFW is also special to the US because of Fashion’s Night Out (FNO). Different FNO events are held throughout the country to help kick off fashion week. If you are a die-hard shopper, there are plenty of shopping events at FNO.
Collections I am looking forward to seeing: Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, L.A.M.B, and Tracy Reese
London September 14 – 18, 2012
London is just beginning to settle down from the Olympic Games only get to revved up again for London Fashion Week! For the past two seasons, the London appeal has ruled fashion. Will London give it a go for a third consecutive season? We will find out beginning September 14th.
Collections I am looking forward to seeing: Rag and Bone, Erdem, GILES, and Mulberry
Milan September 19 – 25, 2012
While I do love NYFW, I can’t wait for Milan Fashion Week (MFW) to begin. For lovers of Italian fashion this is the fashion event you have been waiting for. If you go to the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana website during MFW there will be live streaming of different events and shows as well as photos from collections to view.
Collections I am looking forward to seeing: Gucci, Prada, Fendi, and Alberta Ferretti
Paris September 25, 2012 – October 3, 2012
Paris Fashion Week is always the last of the big four to show. The fashion capital of the world presents the premiere designers that specialize in the French fashion aesthetic. The official show schedule will not be available until some time in September. However, it is a safe bet that designers such as Balmain, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, Givenchy, and Lanvin will be presenting their spring 2013 collections.
Collections I am looking forward to seeing: Dior, Chloe, Lanvin, and Valentino
Are you excited to see what new fashions will be available next spring and summer? Remember the fashion festivities begin in a couple of weeks so get ready. So lovelies, which collections are you looking forward to seeing? Let me know in the comments below. I just may be able to find a video of the collection to post to my blog next month.
