Shark Week on The Discovery Channel starts Sunday August 2 at 9pm. The schedule brings you a whole week of edge of your seat viewing. This educational week of the sea going creatures is sure to top the charts as people from all around the country tune in. Here is the schedule for this weeks: Shark Week.

Sunday August 2 at 9 pm. Shark week starts out with a two hour “Blood in the Water”, It is a true story that inspired the movie Jaws. In 1916 there was the first multiple shark attack in history. It occurred off the shore of New Jersey as a 9 foot shark swam the waters looking for some food. This was the beginning of our modern day love hate relationship with the Shark. The program will tell the truthful story about this event that happened almost a century ago.

Monday August 3 at 9 Pm.
Lee Stroud from Surviorman is testing the waters of the world to find the spot he can call the most deadliest for shark attacks. He will start at the Florida Museum of Natural History and take a look at a collection called the “Shark Attack Files. This is a collection of reports of all the recorded shark attacks. He will leave from there to the places of these attacks. He and a team will coax the sharks out so we can all take a look at them. He is the Survivorman man, he will do just fine, or will he?

Tuesday August 4 at 9 pm. You will see some terrifying footage of a great white breaking through the metal shark proof cage and trapping two men inside. Another shark goes after a Navy Seal in the shallow waters off Florida’s coast. Then off to the Bahama’s to see what happens when a fishing trip is invaded by sharks.

Wednesday August 5 at 9pm. It is the night of the great white and how little we actually know about this shark. They will visit three of the worlds largest natural feeding grounds for these monsters. They will also find out a little bit about it’s feeding habits and travel plans. Don’t miss this one, the mega shark of everyone’s nightmare, The Great Whit Shark.

Thursday August 6 at 9 pm. We know very little about the night time life of the shark. Armed with the latest technology , the team will take a look at what sharks do when the sun goes down. Extraordinary footage of the shark night time hunting ground. Sharks are most aggressive at night and the team will study three species known for being the most aggressive. The Great White, Six Gills, And Tiger shark hunting grounds will all be visited for this show.
