Rejuvenate Hair with a Homemade Avocado Honey Hair Mask

When your hair needs rejuvenating from roots to ends a homemade avocado honey hair mask can help tremendously. I know because I make the mask all the time and use it in my own hair every two weeks. The hair mask can add shine, moisture, softness and fullness back into the hair beautifully so you can get back to having some gorgeous hair days instead of those bad ones due to your hair being overly damaged.

Ingredients Needed

The basic organic ingredients that you will need to have on hand to make the avocado honey hair mask are two ripened avocados, a half cup of raw unfiltered honey, two to three tablespoons of olive oil and a stick of butter. Now, I know butter sounds a bit odd to add to a hair mask, but I decided to add it to the recipe because it helps hydrate the hair deeply and wonderfully.

You may also add in 10 drops of your favorite essential oil if you would like the hair mask to smell good. I know I personally like to add in about five drops each of rosemary and peppermint oil into my hair mask because I find these essential oils to be uplifting and rejuvenating to the mind, body and spirit.

Making the Avocado Honey Hair Mask

To make the avocado honey hair mask you will need to first cut the avocados in half, remove the pits and scoop the flesh out into the puree machine. After, you will need to add in the olive oil, honey, butter and essential oils that you wish if you wish to have any at all. Next, puree the ingredients together until you get a thick greenish creamy mixture. Then scoop the mixture into a bowl and take it into the bathroom to use because it can be a bit messy.

How to Use Hair Mask

When it comes time to use the hair mask, the first thing you should do is comb out your hair until there are no tangles. Then carefully tip your head over the bathroom sink or tub and scoop the mask into your hair. Next, massage the mask throughout your scalp and hair making sure you coat all roots and ends. I personally like to comb the mask throughout my long hair to make sure all my hair is coated evenly.

After it is best to place a shower cap over your hair and leave the mask in for an hour or so as you do things around the house. I know I like to leave the mask in my hair for longer periods because I have long thick fine hair and it seems to take a bit longer for the mask to soak into my hair well. You may need less or more time depending on the texture and length of your hair so you be the judge on how long you think the mask will need to stay in your hair to get the results you are looking for.

After the hour has passed, it is best to rinse out the hair with plenty of warm water and shampoo it well with an organic shampoo. Then you should consider using a hydrating conditioner to help further hydrate and nourish your hair. Once you have cleansed and conditioned the hair well it is best to towel dry your hair and allow it to air dry. When the hair is dry you will notice how soft, shiny, full and beautiful it has become again. I know my hair always looks less frizzy after using this hair mask and has a bit of silkiness and shine to it, which I love.

Bottom Line

When your hair is in deep need of rejuvenation from roots to ends it is time to make and use a homemade avocado honey hair mask. It is pure and natural and will give you the beautiful hair in no time.
